Likes
- The infrastructure is very well maintained. We get world class facilities and all required instruments in all labs.
- The campus area Is also very large of around 617 acres. It is a lush green campus with very scenic views.
- The placement opportunities are also very good . If you work hard there is no wonder that you get a very good placement.
Dislikes
- The girls to boys ratio is very less. And there are less food outlets .
- The hostels also need renovations . Not all hostel are that good.
- The mess food also needs to get better and more north Indian cuisines should be added.
Course Curriculum Overview
I personally chose this course because I had intrest in computers from a long time so, I decided to make it my carrier. The faculty student ratio is moderate about 1:28. Most of the faculty members are PhD scholars and have a very good knowledge about their subjects. The term exams are held at the end of semester about December and if you study regularly it is easy to score well. The exams are of moderate level.
Placement Experience
After the 5 th semester students get a chance for internships and all . If you do well you can surely get a pre placement offer. The average package is quiet well of around 21.5 lpa. And most of the students get placed of they study well . The highest package last year was of around 1.8 crores per annum. This shows that if you have the capabilities the college provides very good opportunities.The percentage placement is around 80% . I personally want to prepare for upsc after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is held almost constant for the past few years and if you belong to general category the average study cost including all expenses will come around 12-13 lakhs. The students get variety of scholarships and financial aid if they do well constantly. Their are some internships available on campus with a bare stipend of around 6000/- per month.
Campus Life
The social life is what I like about this college. They have two fests one technical known as the paradox and the cultural fest known as saarang. The library features a wide variety of books not only study related but also novels, documentaries etc. College has almost all sports with decent facilities of all sports. The college has many clubs which students can join which are solely managed by students.
Admission
For this college one need to give jee advanced exam which is the second hardest exam of the world . The application form is available online and it is very easy to fill up. But to qualify for this exam one need to get into around the top 90 percentile of the jee mains exam for a general candidate. The registration fees for a general candidate is around 3000-3500.The exam is only conducted once in a year . Management of the exam could be improved.
