Remarks

If you have to really study and become a good engineering. This college is not meant for you. If you're a fashion fiesta or a urban living creature this college is not meant for you all too. If you don't want any attendance scene and just want to chill, B

Entrance Preview

I scored 103 in my MH-CET entrance examination, wanted to opt for civil Engineering in Mumbai. Since there were just 5 college in 2010 in Mumbai and navi mumbai, having civil Engineering in their courses. I was waiting to get admission in any of the nearby college, waited till the last CAP Round (4 CAP rounds in total) where I'd gone to aurangabad for final admission process. There were no seats left in any of the civil engineering college expect for this MGMCET. I had no alternative rather than to choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Civil Engineering is a very old engineering branch. This field will never go out of form. Its really a very good branch to lead a life. A branch which is more practical than theoretical. More the experience, higher will be the status. You can opt for a number of courses after BE CIVIL.

Internships Opportunities

No. Not at all. It even hardly allows other student to go for internship. There are 18 seats for ME in MGMCET.

Placement Experience

1

No placements on campus in MGMCET for civil Engineering as such. One have to apply it offline. This year 2014-2015 was the first time in 5 years a company came in for placement (Marathon group ). Gave job to 3 of the students. Otherwise no such placements in this college.

College Events

1

The Principal most of the time does not give permission for college festival every years student have to fight for their festival. College does not give fundings students manages on its own.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is like a normal engineering college nearly 85000- 90000 every year. With a hike of 2000 every year for general students with open category. The caste quota is there in here for every caste. You have to pay extra money for stationaries and exam forms every year. It is feasible for a normal students as its the general fees for all the engineering college nearby.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are some good scholarship programmes in MGMCET. Unfortunately, I was never eligible for any of it so I have no idea about it.

Campus Life

2.5

This college is located in a rural are. So most of the students is form rural crowd which is not so happening. Quite backward with fashion. Students are mostly form vernacular Medium and don't tend to spend money. Bit of orthodox culture here the gender ratio is different for different branches. That is for civil and mechanical its 20 boys to 3 girls whereas its 10 girls for 3 boys in bio medical and bio Technology. Guys tend to wear formal casual and girl's with salwaar and kurti. However the trend is going up day by day. Shorts are not allowed in this college. Extra curricular is often not Developed here as no one really has the time to support them. People who have hobbies, makes their own group and tend to do something on their own.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the alumini is very helpful. Everyone here has a very hard time studying in here, since none of the professor supports in any aspects. The senior had gone through such a phase here so they tend to help up regarding the do s and don't s in the college and some work related stuffs.

Exam Structure

Exams were ok. They arrange on time. Exam timings are also pretty good. 2 term tests in one Semester and finally exam of the Semester at the Semester end. 80% of the lab equipment does not work. While having practical exams the students mostly take notes
