Course Curriculum Overview

3

I have chosen here engineering in mechanical branch. They focus extremely good on practical as well as theoretical knowledge. The course curriculum is provided and designed by the University of Jammu as it is affiliated by the same University.

Internships Opportunities

As I'm the fresher in the college. That's why I don't know about the internship and I've heard about it from the seniors about this that college provides internship in different companies.

Placement Experience

3

The placement of college students is neither so good and not too bad. Placements are provided to those who are good in academics so as well as you performing well in your studies then there will be no problem in getting the placement or job.

College Events

2.5

The college announced various seminars on personality development and various other issues. There is a lot of fests which are held in college every year. Every year there will be a fresher party as at my time there was Techno-Cultural-Fest- (Aarohan 2019) held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is approximately equal to 50000. Which is too much less as compared to any other engineering institute which is quite affordable for everyone and can be paid easily.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the college provides scholarships to meritorious students like who have scored well in their previous academics as well as in semsters and to those who are financially weak and are not able to afford the fee.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college is good. They give students their best. They are also helpful in every matter of the students. Most of the teachers are having a qualification in MTech.

Placement Experience:

Students from the uth and 8th semester are eligible for placements. Companies offering packages about 10 lakhs come in the college. Out of 10 ,at most 5 students get the placement easily from the campus.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Just one company visits and that too isn't up to the mark. Its PISOFT. The highest average package in our campus was 6lpa earlier. Now that also doesn't exist. We have to go for off-campus placement. Only 4 students out of a batch of 63 students. After getting the degree.I will apply in a company for a job via off-campus placement.

The course of CS cyber security is one of the leading course and need of today's modern world. Cyber crime is increasing with each passing day so demand for such course will never go down. For real world application students are given practical knowledge with well maintained computer labs. Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as I completed my diploma in mechanical so I pursue this and talking about the faculty-student ratio, it is quite good as 2 teachers are there for every subject, so in a recent update, they made it compulsory for every teacher to have an M.tech degree and the teaching method is quite good and some of them are really good, so the exams were taken by Jammu University, the timing of sessional exams are taken every 1 and half months and it is done twice in the semester but the result took a lot of time.

Remarks:

It was the only state government run engineering college. So it was pretty obvious that the cut-off and competition to get into GCET was more than any other private college in the state. Right from the reputed and experienced faculty to the soft fee structure of the institute, it was a go to college for me or anybody else in the state. Upon joining, i opted for the mechanical engineering course because that had been my dream course, if i was to go for engineering.

College is quite good academic-wise but there is a lack of sports facilities. And the hostel facilities and the college fee are quite expensive. The college infrastructure is quite good and mesmerizing. College teachers are really very helpful.
