- The first thing i liked was the peaceful environment and the calm serene motivating environment that intrigues your inner feeling and naturally ligtens your mood to study.
- Secondly it was the teachers student interaction that makes up most of the best things as they are truly kind and helpful as they provide us with knowledge that would be impactful and beneficial for us even if its not in the curriculum.
- Thirdly were the non teaching staffs who are so kind and helpful that you wont feel a little confusion in any of the things as the way they handle the things are so mature and smooth
Dislikes
- First was the non availability of enough rooms for the classes to be held due to the maximum no. Of students.. Although its an old university there should be new buildings stleast to cope up with regular student load and look that the classes are he
- This isn't actually a disliked thing but something i personally didnt approve of that calling the seniors my titles of the teachers like madam and sir.. We respect them and they help us also but this title creates a barrier to speak freely.
- Third was the non availability of proper washrooms for women at every department.given the huge campus one couldn't run during and emergency to rush to the cleanest washroom nearby but that also being unhygienic.thus clean washrooms are much needed.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate this course a 8/10 as I wanted to major in biology and this university focuses more on practical and real world applications than just theoretical knowledge. The teachers and faculties are top notch as even if you don't understand a topic in the class.. You can inquire about it later too and they will provide you the best of their knowledge so that you clear your doubts. The only thing is that due to shortage of time.. They rush through the syllabus although explaining them sometimes there are some gaps left.. The exam timings should also be corrected as a one year course is being finished in a half of a semester's time and we have to finish and give the entire syllabus exam on entering 5 months of college when it was supposed to be an yearly course
Internships Opportunities
The internships available at bachelors level are none about till what I know But professors here recommend you internships from other various places and that truly works wonders. It includes paid and non-paid internships both and you get s recommendation letter accordingly. On Master's level or post graduate level there are internships provided in various departments where the stipend also varied starting from an average around 8000/- rupees
Fees and Financial Aid
The most positive aspect about this university is that it provides you the best of knowledge in not so much amount of money and the fees rarely hikes. Including all other expenses(including books) and charges there will be an expenditure of maximum 10,000/- rupees. In case of mine it was wrapped up around nearly at 8000/- rupees. There are several a government funded scholarships and also the university provides a scholarship which will be beneficial especially if you are of a reservation category.
Campus Life
Although there are no official fests held inside the campus But there are events organized by the students for fresher's and farewell.There are libraries accessible to all and provides a very study friendly environment for studying or borrowing books. All of the classrooms are equipped with both projector blackboard screen and a normal chalk blackboard which makes it more easier for us to understand and grasp concepts. Recently there has been various clubs formed by the students under supervision of teachers under the zoology department and various events are held under that -- Cultural club Film and photography club Innovation club Indoor sports club
Admission
The application process is quite simple as I took CUET entrance exams where I chose this university and the course it provided. If you are a Bio student with subject combination that includes Physics, Chemistry and Biology, You are eligible for this course. In the CUET application choose these three subjects along with English And General Test. The cut off is not too high and many average students can get into this good university too if they work a little hard. Maintain your score above 500+ and you can surely take admission. Being a reservation quota helps not only in the university admission process but also the university hostels that are also alloted on a cutoff basis. The admission process is truly smooth and simple as after you clear the cutoff you can come here for the final submission of the hard copy of documentsand enrollment and everything else is completed online including the payment.
