The college culture is really good . Seniors and juniors interactions

The hostel and mess food real too bad. Mess fee is high
Placement are not as expected compare to other iits

Course Curriculum Overview

The professors and teaching is really good. Everything is practically explained and shown for student understanding . You can also choose different courses of different branch if you are interested . And also labs and projects are done by the students.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are not upto the mark. Very few number of students get Internship. It is better if you apply for Internship out of the campus. Usually 3 months Internship is provided and are guided to perform a project.

Placement Experience

The 4th year students are eligible for sitting in the campus placement. For code tata and applied materials like companies visited and for non core amazon Google flipcart and many more companies visited.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee of the course is 115000 and the hostel fee is 18000. The fee for economical weaker section students is reduced to 15000. And also scholarships are provided to girls students which is known to be mcm scholarship.

Campus Life

There are different technical related clubs like febs for finance , coding clubs , robotics clubs and web development club. Coming to socio cultural clubs like dance club, singing club , dramatic club and many more on basis of your interest.

Hostel Facilities

There are 3 hostels for boys named as bhr, rhr , mhr and 2 hostels for girls shr and ghr. They will provide single rooms. Common bathroom for each floor. And free wifi and lan are provided . And coming to mess menu it is not that much good as expected but there will be a special dinner per month.

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Admission

I got admission through josaaa counseling and and the process was conducted in several rounds and on the basis of your marks and rank the seat and the college will be allotted. And after that you will get a call from the college

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.
