Likes

Ragging free campus, seniors are very good and friendly
Club activities and other opportunities that kjc provides
Teachers are helpful and hardly scolds but a strictness is always there

Dislikes

Fees is too much for middle class students
The locality is not that great, you can't get everything
Strict attendance.. If it's less than 75 they won't let you write exam

Course Curriculum Overview

My course, biotechnology and genetics, is very vast and the faculties have done a great job in explaining.. The labs are great, teachers are friendly and library is always available.. But I feel the syllabus needs to be modified a bit to make it more interesting

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 55000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 55000 officially, along with it you have to pay 4000 rs exam fee each semester, along with that they charge 5500 rs for first year students who come from places outside karnataka.. There are few scholarship schemes like jtus and for sc/st/pwd students

Campus Life

Club activities and extracurricular activities are great.. I myself am head of quiz club, these clubs add spice to college life and teaches a lot about character building and leadership qualities for future endeavor

Admission

There was an interview round... Where professors asked few basic questions and hobbies. Based on the interview round they selected the top 60 students. The faculties were very friendly and asked few personal questions too, regarding likings and dislikings

There is no official records of placements for SST as its a new college, but they do provide placements, also they provide internships in third year itself with a average stipend of 25k. The highest stipend that was offered was 2.5 lakhs from a german based company.

Our curriculum includes syllabus in regard to that of National Education Policy scheme where in we have 2 core subjects. I chose biotechnology and genetics since it something I really look forward to pursue as my career in the field. We had one subject as open elective which enhanced our curriculum since we could choose from various course every semester. The university exams however were conducted for 60marks as theory and 2.5 hours for the same which can be extended to 3 hours

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements right after completing their B.Math(Hons) degree, i.e after their 6th semester. Companies like Microsoft, Google, LinkedIn, Wipro, and other Multinational Companies visit and every student gets an offer from one company or the other. The package ranges from 10LPA to 25LPA. Those students who opt for placement after their B.Math(Hons) course is over, all get a placement offer while most of the students prefer to continue their Master's Degree. I too would like to complete my Master's Degree after my bachelor and think about further options thereafter.

I didn't actually choose this college. My plan was to go to a government college. But I just applied here and wished to get selected and I did. The admission process is fully online, from interview to paying fees. The eligibility is getting a percentage above 60 and no exams are required. You just need to attend the interview on the date asked by the college and they will ask you few questions, and after few days you will get selected based on the interview.
