Exploring IITG

The course structure of CSE at IIT's is generally highly regarded for its depth and breadth in computer science engineering. Core computer Science courses: These cover a range of topics essential to computer science, including data structures, algorithms, computer architecture, operating systems, databases, programming languages and software engineering. Seminar series and workshops: Institutes often organizes seminars, workshops, and guest lectures by experts from academia and industry to expose students to cutting-edge research and industry trends.

There are roles for which companies visit our campus such as SDE - software development roles, ML/Ds- Machine learning and data science roles, HFT - High frequency trading roles, Analyst roles. Companies like google, microsoft are product based companies which offer SDE roles in their companies and the stipend is around 1 to 1.5 lakhs. Companies like JPMC, goldman sachs offer Analyst roles in their companies and they do provide similar stipend.

Students Who are in their 8th semester are eligible for campus placements. There are many companies that visit during placements like accenture, microsoft, google, tata consutancy,adobe etc. In our CSE department average package is around 36 l.p.a and highest package is around 2 crore p.a.

The fee structure for IIT"s can vary slightly from one institure to another, my institute have a fee structure of around 9 lakhs for the entire course, however, There are many scholorships available to the students who can't afford that much amount of money, like Merit-based scholorships, Need - based scholorships etc..

IIT Guwahati has so many clubs like finance and economics club , coding club, 4i labs club, robotics club, aeronautical club these clubs comes under technical clubs, And there are non technical clubs like palates, cadence, social service club etc.. Alcheringa: This is the annual cultura festival of IIT Guwahati known for its vibrant music concerts, dance performances, fashion shows etc. Probably this is the largest fest in the entire north east region of india.

The hostels facilities at IIT Guwahati are generally well-maintaied and provide comfortable living environment for students. Accommodation: The hostels at IITG offer both single and shared occupancy rooms, Rooms are equipped with basic furniture such as beds, study tables, and wardrobes. And we have wifi connectivity in every room of the hostels, And we have common areas such as TV rooms, reading rooms. The mess facilities at IIt Guwahati provide dining services to students,serving breakfast, lunch, dinner. Quality of food is very good,

To be eligible for admission to the CSE program at IIT's candidate need to meet the following criteria: Jee Advance Exam: This is the primary exam for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at IITS. Whoever is giving the exam need to qualify in the Jee advance. Educational Qualifications: candidates should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, chemistry, mathematics as compulsory subjects. The should also have secured a certain minimum of percentage around 75%.
