- Guards are very rude stay away from them .
- Some teachers are very mean they will torture you by the knife or rules and regulations
- Mess food is not never good, have found glass particles, insects in food personal experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is fine just felt at some point that some courses are taught that are not even relevant to your couse. Some how in engeenering college 160 credits are allotted for entire course but this college makes you study around 5 more subjects.
Internships Opportunities
60 percent students get on-campus internship opportunities with very good stipends and most of the companies visit college are very reputable. Starting phase, first three months best companies, next three months average companies, in the last phases you strive for whatever you get.
Placement Experience
This is where NIT tag helps you no matter from which nit you are, this college will try to give placement to as many as possible students although this year placements were quite low. But even if you don't get college placement, i have seen most of the passed out students are having jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since this is a government funded college. Here they have policy that your tuition fees will remain constant for entire course. Hike in all terms of fees is given in around 3 years with minimum margins.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is very good, there are many clubs in nitr most of them are really good except the one that do dance and skits. They look like kind of mess up ones. Music clubs are just fine. None of the clubs had ever given once more type performance.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel are allotto every student admitted to nitr excfor day scholars. For btech students they'll have to share their rooms with their friends as double allotted for entire course. For mtech first year double next year single, same goes for PhD rest every student will have to share their room.
Admission
As you know its NIT Rourkela, one of the most prestigious college for engeenering across India. This college stands on your expectations. Good placement, thik thak mess ka khana, strict in terms of rules and regulations, a little forceful in implementing rules like unnecessarily increases your mess dues from 15k to 30k, strict attendance policy, great campus flora, good infrastructure, from past three years no good events because college authorities too busy snatching every penny sanctioned, students go to other colleges for competition on their own expenses even though money is sanctioned for them but never reaches to them, forcefully research projects are given to students even though placements this year was very low still ranks amongst top colleges.
