Course Curriculum Overview

I choose CTM construction management, I was very well interested in civil I supposed to get this CTM relative to civil only. I took an initiative in an internship in an autocade program

Internships Opportunities

Yeah, our college provided internship programs, but I never participated in it. So I don't have much idea regarding that but few of our friends took part in it.

Placement Experience

Placements were held in our college max. No. Of students got placed nearly 60-80% of people got placed in different companies like NCC, WIPRO, HCL, TECH MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, etc. With an average package of 2.2-4.5lacs per annum.

College Events

Some events also held in our college in the fields of technical fests were organized by different branches.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is based on the govt. Like I have paid 33k for board fee and 13k for college fee it's a govt seat what I got. For management seats that will be a different scenario

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah I availed scholarships yearly for all 4 years since am from backward class I used to get scholarship of INR 40k per annum . For other sectors also they used to get 18-20k scholarship.

Hostel Facilities

Yeah I used to stay in a hostel for 2years that's a good experience it costs 50-70k per year.. with all facilities including food and WiFi.. there are rooms available in single, double or three sharing.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

There were aluminis were held, but I donn have much regarding that.

The faculty in our college were well qualified and experienced people. They are very good at teaching us different attractive methods. They are very helpful for us when we are in a difficult situation at studies. In one word they are like our buddies

LIFE AT NITK

Placement Experience:

Placements at NITK Surathkal are very good overall, and the EEE department consistently sees a high percentage of students getting placed-85% to 90%+ However the placement profiles and salaries vary a lot depending on whether you go core electrical jobs , software/IT jobs we students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester companies start arriving fro pre placement talks and tests ,some students also get PPOs done in the 3rd year summer internshis companies visiting nitk for eee students are: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SIEMENS ABB L&T TATA POWER BOSCH. My personal plans after getting degree is either get placed in a good company then later prepare for civils services examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my kcet rank was low I want a good clg so I choose this college I choose electrical and electronics. also I'm very interested in electrical department I wanted eee branch so I choose this Curriculum actually helps you to learn and solve real world problems since it's a core branch you have to concentrate on our syllabus. We get to learn lot of things also we have 4 labs there you can learn practically . In our clg they additionally we have lab Called skill lab there you can learn lot of things additionally . I feel they should add some programming language as subject in eee additionally even though we learn that in 1st year there should be continuous so . Even our colleges provide boot camps for 10 days every sem where experienced trainer will come and teach you but I feel that's not enough they have include programming languages as our part of curriculum. In internals they provide 1hour time for for 30 marks and sem exams 3hr for 100 marks so it's manageable .

I choose this college over others is that as per my ranking this was the college I got and there were other options but the place where this college is situated has its own advantage. We will not have to bother about any transportation as such As per today's market trend we will have the placements more of sales role in each and every college So even here we have the same .
