Course Curriculum Overview

4

So In my case I'm from Btech Chemical Engineering department. In the first year all branches used to have same courses and each section used to consists students from all the branches. First year subjects mainly focused on the basics which are required for mastering the specific branch.Labs are also there to get practical knowledge of the subject. From second year we will be splitted into our respective branches and the subjects outcomes and lab outcomes are very impressive. We will be having total four exams for each semester. Two minors(20 marks) Mid marks (30 marks ) End marks(50 marks)

Internships Opportunities

3.5

So the internships will be started in the third year of your college. Many companies will be visiting tha campus for hiring the interns. Circuit branches will be getting more internships than the non circuit branches. Most of the interns are from IT related field. Apart from these some professors also provide internship opportunities to work under them.Other college students will be coming and doing internships in our college.

Placement Experience

3.5

Due to recession in IT sector this year(2024) placements count has been dropped. But usually NIT WARANGAL is known for its placements. As of now 800 students has been placed from all the courses with an average of 12 LPA.200+ companies have visited this year for hiring.Studemts had been placed in various fields 60 perecnt of students have placed.(Last year it was 80 percent). Highest package offered was 88LPA from a company called Thoughtspot. My plans are pursuing higher studies after getting graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

So there are three income categories: Above 5 Lakhs- 62500 per semester Between 1-5 Lakhs - 20833 Below 1 lakh - 0 SC/ST candidates will be getting full tution wavier. The above mentioned fee structures are only for Indian students. For international students the fee structure will be varying according to their currency. Apart from this if you excel in the academics you may get merit scholarship (full fee will be reimbursed).

Campus Life

4.5

Ok apart from academics there are lot of extra curricular activities which will be going on in the campus. There are total of 33 clubs and 7 associations in the college. Students will be taken interview to get into the club which they are interested.(My choice is maximum of 4 clubs) The club will be conducting events and all the students will take active participation in it. There are two annalual fests conducted in the college 1)Technozion 2) Spring spree Coming to sports we will be having INTER NIT competition where our students will be playing against other NIT students. Classrooms are also very good with good equipment which provides technology enabled education

Hostel Facilities

3

So hostel buildings will be varying according to year wise. 1st years (1.8 k hostel) 2nd years (Blocks) 3&4 years (1k hostel) So in my case the fees was 17000 per semester (single occupancy). There are three messes(IFC A ,IFC B,IFC C) The mess charges are 115 per day.(If you want nonveg then there are extra charges) Hostel maintenance is average and mess food is not upto the mark. Many students are not satisfied with the mess food ang they give frequent complaints to the director.

Admission

Firstly you need to have a minimum of 70 percent in your class 12 examination. So for getting seat in this college you need to write JEE(Joint Entrance Examination). The complete application process will be provided in NTA(National Testing Agency) website. So the examination is of objective type with a total of 75 questions which are divided into theree subjects(Maths, Physics, Chemistry). Examination difficulty varies shift wise(moderate to difficult).Normalization of all shifts will be done.We will be having reservations based on caste. Students will be having two attempts. We may get morning or evening shift while writing the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
