Likes
- Campus life at CV Raman Global University is very good. You will find green places to sit with your friends and discuss anything. I like it most.
- Another thing the routine for class is designed in such a way that you can do some extra preparation for your placements or for competitive exams like GATE, PSUs etc.
Dislikes
- Most of the teacher comes in the class and read only PPT on smart board. You will understand nothing from those. I am not talking about all the teachers. Many are good and have good level of knowledge.
- Attendance criteria: 75% attendance is mandatory to appear in mid-sem and end-sem examinations. I hate this rule. If you will not complete that criteria, you will not be able to sit in exam
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of this university is well designed and industry oriented. You should not give extra effort to cover the syllabus. Many programming languages you will learn during 1st and 2nd year. You can apply this knowledge to build your projects. Teaching methods should be improved because teachers use only PPT to teach students. In an academic year, 2 exams are conducted, one for odd semester and one for even semester. You can easily pass those exams in one night study.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester but in 6th semester you may get one or two internship offers. Many mass recruiter companies like TCS,Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant etc. visit our college. Highest package was 45 lpa off campus. On campus average package is 6.5 lpa. Approximately 80% of the students get placed but this year due to recession placement status is not satisfactory. After completing degree, I want to work for MNCs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for four remains same as your first year fee that means during admission the amount of fee you have paid, that will applicable for every year. You can complete b.tech in 150000. Like {4*225000(Course fee) + 400000Hostel fee + miscellaneous expenses)}. There is no any scholarship offered by University to the students. In campus there is good fest every year. You can build your stall and sell any food items.
Campus Life
Celegance is the annual fest of CV Raman Global University. It is generally held in the month of March. Central library is big enough to have sufficient amount of space to study 400 students at a time. There are so many books for semester preparation and also for competitive exams like GATE,PSUs. All classrooms have digital board. Intra university sports week is celebrated in which you can participate in many games like cricket, jumps, relay race etc. There so many clubs like Anubhuti Dramatics Club, Literary club, coding club. Students take part in these clubs and gain experience of teamwork.
Hostel Facilities
Room is of three types: single bed, double bed and triple bed. Every bed is provided with a chair, a table and an almirah. Meal quality is not good. You will get non-veg four days in a week and on Sunday lunch you will get biryani both veg and non-veg. Registration process for hostel is simple. Simply at the time of admission, you have to inform that you want to avail hostel facility. They will provide. Hostel is expensive if you compare to PGs around the university.
Admission
For lateral entry to B.tech in computer science and engineering (Artificial intelligence and machine learning), you should have completed diploma from any recognised university or board with minimum 50% marks. The application details is available on university website. Frequency of exam is 2, that means you will have two chances to give the university entrance called CGET. It is not very difficult to pass. You can also take admission through jee mains if you are regular student. In admission process there is some problem you may face regarding your gapping year otherwise okay.
