Course Curriculum Overview

I was pretty much into engineering from starting and I got intrest in learning programming so that is why I took information technology. Curriculum should me more practical actually. There is not need to improve just teachers should teach more practically. Exams are conducted as per university's timetable and they are moderate like not difficult not hard.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are plenty of internship opportunities most of them are offered to only girls there was one internship by government with 10000 but was only for girls. I don't remember exact names of companies but they mostly offer non technical roles.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester students get eligible for campus placement. Due to recession less companies are visiting and hiring ratio is also low like out of 150 students they will select only 2-3 students hardly. Highest package in our batch as of now is 7lpa and average is 3.5lpa. As of now only 15% students got placed i guess.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees are fixed I guess that is 1,40,000 per year. Complete cost could be around 7-8 lacs. There are plenty of scholarships available. I didn't take any campus employment but I guess they don't pay stipends.p

Campus Life

There are one main fest in each year fusion where all of the functions, awards and all are done. The library is quite good it has variety of books and librarian is also helpful. Classrooms are good too. Sports events are also there like sportivo.

Admission

Eligibility of course was as declared by state board. I got through management quota but students can apply after giving state entrance that is mht cet. Reservation benefits are there for students who got through list. Exams are conducted as through university's timetable and they are moderate like not so difficult and not too easy.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules.
