Likes

Campus is nice. Not a very huge campus but it's beautifully built
The students are nice, they are easy to communicate with and there's no ragging and other violence activities
Teachers are very friendly. We can approach any teacher anytime for any query

Dislikes

The classes have ventilation problem so if that could be fixed
Sometimes there are no breaks in between the classes

My college is popular for providing the best bachelor's in commerce in chandigarh Well not practically but yes teaches us enough to get jobs More practical work and site visits could help and more activities

After 4th semester they can start preparing for the placement opportunities The companies that usually visit are ICICI bank, Deloitte etc The percentage of students is low like 1 out of 20 gets placement I'll go for master's most probably

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fees hikes by 2 to 3 thousand every year and it never goes down ie keeps increasing It was around 2 lacs for the entire course excluding tuition and hostel fees since I was a day scholar Scholarships are available for reserved category students, single girl child ews students etc

There are a lot of functions held every year for example the commerce and management club often helds panache, sd open bazar etc The library is great has lots of books as well online PDFs are available Sports opportunities are there for different sports A lot of clubs are there in our college like CMN, rotract, tedx, etc

Admission

50 percent or more in your 12th standard Application is available both on the official college site or dhechd site Reservation for OBC St SC students as well as ncc nss and defence category students etc

About college placement, there is a placement cell which provides the information about the companies in 5th sem. We have to fill a form where we agree to join the placement cell opportunity when companies arrive. As so many big companies arrive the chances of success is less. But if you give your best you will definitely get selected.

Relevance of course is all theory but if we talk of it for real world it's not much that. Course should be more focused towards skill builder and not reading only. No practical hand experience over computer applications that are actually needed like excel advance or formulas. BBA generally offers various specialisation in the last year but they only have HR and if anybody wants to go for other options like marketing or finance which are basic for all they try to get them enrolled in HR ONLY. THEY HAVE REFUSED TO BRING MARKETING OR FINANCE FACULTY FOR STUDENTS.

Review Of GGDSD College

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester Students Are Eligible For Placements. Companies Like Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank And IBM. All The Placement Info Is On The Website Itself But The Requirement To Sit in Placements Is Atleast 75% Score In All Of The Sems Combined. My Score Was Not Above 75 So I'm Going For Off Campus Jobs.

Elgibility was easy as people for any background rather say commerce , arts , non medical or medical . College doesnt have any entrance exam for admission.Students are admitted through centralized admission under DHE chandigarh. Eligibiltity of my course was just on my 12th class's board percentage. You can find the application form, application fees and application dates on the official website of GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH There are reservered seats for specific castes although i am from general category so i did not get any type of reservation. The exams are held every 5 to 6 months after the semester end. And they are held from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2 pm to 5pm.
