I liked central library very much , i also like various fests organised at college, Sports facilities.

I disliked the 75 percent attendence rule which is very bad according to me and whole college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Basically I choose my branch because i dont get Computer Science and Engineering But now i loved my branch . We have mainly 2 exams Mid sem and End Sem and quizes between them . We have practical lab which prepare us for real life situations.

Internships Opportunities

In intern season various company came in my college including big companies like Google , Salesforce , Uber, Sprinklr, De Shaw , Microsoft , American express and many more Mainly companies came for Software Developer role . To get internship we have to be good in Data Structure in Algorithm with good in either Machine learning or Web or app development.

Placement Experience

Our college placements are very good though aren't that much good in current year because of recession . The average package is 14 lakh per annum . We have to sit for internship opportunities after our second year in month of july and for placements in december after seventh sem . I want to take a good placement and want to start my own start up after 2 , 3 years of placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our tution fee for general category is 1 lakh per semester and 18 thousand hostel and mess fees . Our college provide very good scholarship if you have salary less than 1 lakh your tution fees is zero rupees If ypu have salary between 1 lakh and 5 lakh you have to pay only one third fees .

Campus Life

Our college has various very good club of which i like the most is Cyberlabs and Robotics Club .our Dance club (WTC) also won at various inter iit events . Our college also organises various cultural and sports fest like Parakram Sports fest , Srijan (Eastern India's largest cultural fest) in february starting.

Hostel Facilities

We have very good hostels in our college of which i like the most is Aquamarine hostel in which i am residing . our hostel fees is 18000 per semester and mess fees is included in this . we get food three times in mess morning lunch and dinner and also got tea in the evening.

Hostel Fee: INR 15000 per year

Admission

Firstly I have cleared Jee Mains then i have cleared Jee Advance . Then i go in Josaa counselling which is necessary to get college. I have got Bachelor of technology in Electrical Engineering in IIT Dhanbad in 6th round then i changed my branch to Electronics and Communication Engineering in First Year.

BIT Mesra is Musical!!

Placement Experience:

Mechanical branch in terms of number of students placed is quite high but if it is about how many students get elite packages it's less. The average for our branch at our college is 8-9 lakhs but top companies which are into our core space for long are our college partners.

BIT Mesra is humongous!!

Placement Experience:

My plans after degree is to pursue masters or right away get on with my family business as we are already into trading chemicals. However, from the number of students from our stream that apply for jobs through campus, over 80% are placed from campus. Labs to industries that deals in manufacturing of chemicals and exporting the same are the ones where students of our college get the opportunity.

BIT Mesra is Magical!!

Placement Experience:

Highest package from our campus is eye catching as it's 56 lakhs and for chemical branch it was 34 lakhs. HUL, Sun Pharma, public limited labs and various R&D research centres are those that have helped us to get best available jobs in market as the competition is high but BIT Mesra has still managed to place over 80% students last year.

BITS Mesra is Magnificent!!

Placement Experience:

From second semester we are taken for an hour session for special training. It is optional till 4th semester but from 5th semester onwards, it becomes mandatory and we have no choice but to go through that hammer. Finally, from the last year's 1st semester companies starts coming and we can apply for the same and that is how placements are done here.

Placement Experience:

the placement rate depends on branch.some branches like cse,ese will have a high placement rate and for small branches like mechanical and chemical will have less placements .the highest package is around 60lpa.

Read this before joining BIT Sindri.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities is decent for students. The placement of BIT sindri varies from branch to branch but the core brances like Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering has evergreen placements. Among the eligible students around 90 percent students get placed. But in branches like civil and production engineering, its not the same. They have very low placement rate around 20 to 30% of eligible students get placement. For CSE, IT & ECE the placement is highly dependent on the situation of market and it varies early. The students are eligible from 6 the semester onwards for placement . The placement drive starts from August or September and companies visit till students graduate. The top recruiters are TCS with more than 80 students from overall campus , TATA power nearly 20 , LNT, JSW , Vedanta , TATA STEEL, JSL, ADANI, ABG , Shyam steel and For it sector companies like samsung , cognisant, hitachi, TCs, Spyder visited for 2k21 batch. For the batch 2020-2024 among batch size of 710 around 620 offers were made. The highest package is given by samsung which is around 28 LPA , students of CSE, IT, ECE and Electrical are eligible. For IT sector average package is around 6 lakhs. For core sectors companies heightest package is offered by vedanta to Electrical, Mechanical, Mining which is around 14 lakhs average package is around 7 LPA.. Around 75- 80 percent students get placed during campus placement drive. The Wish to crack GATE and join PSU after my graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is slightly outdated due but still it isnrelevant due to research oriented branch. The areas they can improve is by adding practical subjects more than theoretical one. Exams are conducted twice every semester with easy to moderately moderate difficulty level.

All things to be considered before taking admission in BIT

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students are eligible for placement the companies visited are google,jindal,TCS, aakash,PWetc.the highest package offered was 25LPA and the average was 5-6LPA.the place percentage was 60-70% because there are students who is preparing for civil services,GATE,etc.My plan was to crack GATE and get placed in one of the PSU's.

BIT Mesra Review in a nutshell

Placement Experience:

After completion of 6th sem students are eligible for placements. All major tech giants you name it like Google, Microsoft,Walmart,Atlassian,Flipkart,Visa,Texas Instruments,Arcesium,Salesforce..... etc do visit the campus for the placement and around there are around 250+ companies visiting. Highest offered was around 51 lakhs and average for CSE is around 21Lakhs. Percentage of students placed is close to 90%.

All You need to know about IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

As this is an IIT, To get admission here Firstly You have to take the JEE mains exam. At our time there used to be 4 rounds of the JEE Mains exam and Your maximum percentile among all 4 would be considered for a cutoff It was around 90% and to be eligible for give JEE advance Exam. The JEE advance exam happened in July, and its results were also released in August. After Qualifying JEE Advanced exam too you have to go through JOSSA counselling. In JOSSA counselling you have to give your list of colleges priority wise and you will be allotted college based on your AIR. After JOSSA counseling of 6 rounds, you will be allotted a college and then you will receive an offer letter from a college. For me, at IIT Dhanbad after taking admission firstly we were introduced to college through an orientation session with our respected director. After this we were called to campus for pre-registration for our course there we had to submit our documents and verify our identity. That's it !!...Read More
