All about IIT ISM DHANBAD

The course highly influenced me to choose because of the freedom to choose electives according to our own Career goals and industry requirements. the assignment in certain subjects are purely research based which is very much required in higher studies.the areas of improvement can me more integration of industry experts to take once in a week classes to give the industry exposure.

Numerous companies provide ample internship opportunities with good stipend amount like, AMAZON, TATA MOTORS, TATA STEEL, NVIDIA, ANALOG ELECTRONICS with stipend amount ranging from 28 k to 60k. The internship is provided by the companies with proper time duration aligning with the research topic in the college.

The M.tech students are eligible for campus placement in 3rd semester. There are numerous companies visiting the campus and most of the students receive employment opportunities. The highest package in my department for m.tech student is 37 lpa by mathworks.more than 80 percent students have received placement for this season till now.

The complete fee structure would be nearly Bout 2 lakhs, but we are also provided with monthly stipend which manages all the expenses for admission and personal requirements. There are different scholarships for students but for every mtech, 12,400 is fixed. The internship opportunities further help in extra exposure and money which are encouraged a lot because in mtech one year is for course work and second year is complete research which can be converted to internship in companies aligning with the research.

A lot of fest is continuously organised for knowledge and experience. In the last 6 months only I saw two mega fests , concetto the technical fest held on the month of October and srijan the cultural fest held in February. The Library is the most fascinating part because the books are accessible 24*7. The classroom have projector and ac with proper ventilation and lightning. The lecture hall has numerous lifts for easy commute and good fire safety.

The hostel facility is good but the only problem I see is shared rooms, the masters students should be given single rooms considering the research work they have to do. The hostels should also be given washing machines for laundry. Rest all is fine. The food should include more healthy options such as more fruits and oats.the registration process is quite easy , the fixed price is applicable to everyone residing in the hostel premises. The hostels have got good security and ample space in each rooms.

For M.TECH admission in IIT ISM DHANBAD, We need to have a valid gate score and the college releases its cut off in subsequent rounds of COAP process from which we select our institute and college. The admission process here is very easy, the college on its official website opens up the application process which we need to fill and apply within the dates Provided. If selected, then further process will be mailed to complete the payment process. Once payment is done, the college gives reservation form and medical form to be filled and attested by the concerned authorities. The college calls for physical verification of documents and then the admission process is completed by reporting to the hostels alloted. The exams are held twice in a semester having one midsem and one end sem, in between before every exam a quiz test will be taken. The difficulty level of the exams are high.
