Honest Review for CGC Jhanjeri

I would like to give 6.5/10 as the curriculum is totally academic based and no advanced technical training like data structures, data science, or web development is provided by faculty till 2024. They should hire or outsource trainers who really are into implementing technology skills so that students can learn what they should for placement and future growth. Exams are simple not too difficult.

Yes, The placement cell is the same as of Chandigarh University. There are options to sit in placements from 6semester onwards but there is a huge shorting criteria that the college does as this is a joined placement cell of more than 5-6 colleges so the shortlisting internally is itself a challenge sometimes but if you have 90+ or 80+ then definitely not much an issue. The placement percentage is approximately 50%. Highest Package- 12LPA Lowest - 2.5Lpa Average- 4.5lpa many companies like KPIT, JP Morgan, Indus Towers, toddle,richpanel, Manikaran Power Ltd, and many more approx 1000 companies.

Fees got increased to 65k per semester but yes there are ample amount of scholarship programs based on CGC Josh and also on JEE score and all they give scholarships. But aware of that the scholarship is provided for 1st semester only i personally faced this issue so please confirm this. Yes, If we look in these fees this college is far better.

The campus life there was good. There are a lot of events. Almost you are going to watch all Punjabi actors and singers once or maybe more than that. There is a huge diversity of people from different parts of india, some foreigners are also there. All Facilities are there for co-curricular activities as it is NAAC A+. The campus is small. The campus is like a boarding school. The campus is too far from Chandigarh, and connectivity after 9 Pm is not there.

They are charging approximately 70000 for a hostel, The hostel is excellent, you know that the song Hostel by Sharry Mann is also recorded here. All facilities are there Gym, Movie (Common Auditorium), Basketball court, Badminton Court and canteen. Food is better than other hostels but yes they start decreasing their quality day by day.

The process of admission is direct. It is a TIER-3 College with developing stage. For taking Admission you can just directly contact or just visit on website they will automatically contact you once you left any of your details there. Exams per semester conducted by the PTU as its a college affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. Please make sure your branch because they just allot CSE and then shift you into other like ECE or mechanical. So please make sure your branch.
