Likes

Campus life is good but nothing much extravagant
Faculty in the clinical branches are quite good compared to non clinical ones
Infrastructure is there for studies and its good

Dislikes

No such sports and cultural activites in campus life
Faculty needs to be more solution oriented and focus on clinical aspects more

Course Curriculum Overview

It's robust along with practical field experiences. curriculum is quite competency based and teaches us about how to approach real life situations faced by physicians. Just that the course is quite vast.

Internships Opportunities

Intership is there in the college itself after you complete your MBBS course ,monthly salary is about Rs.14000 and its somewhat ok.you can learn the patient load is also moderate not hectic compared to AGMC

Fees and Financial Aid

In Every 2 years there fee hike.like in 2022 fee was increased from 54 lakhs to 67 lakhs for whole course. Scholarships are there scheduled tribe and caste students with income cap less than 2.5 lakhs per annum can apply for scholarships amounting around 4lakhs in a year.

Campus Life

Annual fest is held in this college along with freshers welcome ceremony and various other festivals like diwali holi Saraswati puja is also celebrated.though sports facility is not that good only a ground for football is there and nothing much

Admission

Through NEET examination its selected.on the DME Site we can get the forms. National Reservation criteria is applicable in this exam. The exam is held every year in summer and difficulty level is low.

HONEST REVIEW OF AGARTALA GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We are placed in the hospital during the internship on how good knowledge we have based on giving good treatment to the patients. The salary, in the beginning, is good and as the experience increases, we can even open our clinic or even hospital or work privately too. Placement in many renowned hospitals is quite so easy thought AGMC college and they give much money to work as a doctor. Like private Institute provide freshers 30-40k per month salary and govt are giving little bit low salary per month. But after 1year this salary increase.

Remarks:

As mentioned above, this is the kind of college you should choose with only with the thought of getting a MBBS degree. There's no provision any other way to entertain you. One can play sports in the field which is not at all maintained. Everything apart from Studies and clinics is below standards but that's what you're here for, right.

Remarks:

College is good in studying, clearing the skills in clinics as well as all other extracurricular activities. But as there is a bit less number of cases of patients come to hospital,there is less exposure to all sort of clinical conditions of patients for practicing.

The overall admission process is good cut off marks for TMC during my time was 466 last mark for general category, so there are 100 seats out of which 41 seats are for general category and rest were for sc and ST , difficulty level of neet UG in 2021 was average and high scoring too. Application forms are available in the DME website by the tripura government where candidates can apply for admission. Words by a sensible medico.

The student has to qualify NEET. The cutoff changes every year. For ST in my time the admission ended with 150/180 marks in NEET. Had to apply in state medical council.
