Likes

The hostel is pretty good. I have attached bathroom.
We have a small space where we can play sports whenever we like.
Teachers are also very helpful of the department.

Dislikes

Seniors may not be your best experience .
Mess food quantity and variety is not good.
College fees is too high in compare to the facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

You get to learn all the subjects of mbbs from experienced professors of tripura and other states also. Curriculum is based on latest cbme syllabus which is same all over India. Practical classes are also good.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 1500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

As it is a medical College there is mandatory internship within the course which is of 1 year after 4 and half years. You have to see patients in rural areas. The fees can be around 20000 in upcoming years.

Fees and Financial Aid

In 2023 fees for the total course is 67 lacs+ and it will keep on increasing every few years. There is no additional charges. To withdraw from this course it will take 20 lacs. Scholarship maybe available based on family income and educational qualification.

Campus Life

Campus is beautiful with great scenery. We have fest near September and other club activities also occur throughout the year. Infrastructure is pretty satisfactory. Sports aspect is also good. Class has projector.

Hostel Facilities

Freshers hostel is pretty good. You have pretty clean toilets. And some rooms have attached bathroom. Meal quality is not satisfactory. All students have to take a room compulsory. Senior hostel toilets are not so good.

Hostel Fee: INR 5000 per year

Admission

Need atleast 450 in neet for general. You have to visit the directorate of medical education in Agartala for all the information. You can get seat upto 250 if you are ST. Fees is high as it is a private college.

HONEST REVIEW OF AGARTALA GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We are placed in the hospital during the internship on how good knowledge we have based on giving good treatment to the patients. The salary, in the beginning, is good and as the experience increases, we can even open our clinic or even hospital or work privately too. Placement in many renowned hospitals is quite so easy thought AGMC college and they give much money to work as a doctor. Like private Institute provide freshers 30-40k per month salary and govt are giving little bit low salary per month. But after 1year this salary increase.

Remarks:

As mentioned above, this is the kind of college you should choose with only with the thought of getting a MBBS degree. There's no provision any other way to entertain you. One can play sports in the field which is not at all maintained. Everything apart from Studies and clinics is below standards but that's what you're here for, right.

Remarks:

College is good in studying, clearing the skills in clinics as well as all other extracurricular activities. But as there is a bit less number of cases of patients come to hospital,there is less exposure to all sort of clinical conditions of patients for practicing.

The overall admission process is good cut off marks for TMC during my time was 466 last mark for general category, so there are 100 seats out of which 41 seats are for general category and rest were for sc and ST , difficulty level of neet UG in 2021 was average and high scoring too. Application forms are available in the DME website by the tripura government where candidates can apply for admission. Words by a sensible medico.

The student has to qualify NEET. The cutoff changes every year. For ST in my time the admission ended with 150/180 marks in NEET. Had to apply in state medical council.
