Course Curriculum Overview

3

I was interested in the field of research so I chose the branch. But it comes out it's not a very good institute for research as it totally concentrates on technology. But yeah, you will experience good with the tech! You need to study all by yourself ( as it's not a school anymore)!

Placement Experience

3.5

Students typically become eligible for campus placements starting from the seventh semester of their undergraduate programs at many institutions, including NIT Rourkela. At NIT Rourkela, companies from various sectors visit for campus placements. Some of the companies that have visited in the past include: Microsoft Amazon Google Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Infosys Deloitte Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Flipkart The number of offers made varies each year and depends on factors like company requirements, student performance, and market conditions. The highest and average packages offered by companies also vary. For example, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon often offer high packages.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is provided to the economically weaker section of society and also students having reservation quota. Their fees also reduced. Campus is awesome. Most hospitable and safest NIT! My cmplt coast will be around 4lacks but it will be higher for btech people.

Campus Life

4

NIT Rourkela's campus life is fantastic and known for being super safe. Although the festivals there are just okay, students still have a good time socially. What really shines are the club activities—they're the best among NITs! Imagine a campus nestled in greenery where students feel safe and happy. While the festivals might not be the biggest parties, students still find ways to enjoy themselves and make friends. But where NIT Rourkela really stands out is in its clubs. These clubs cover all sorts of interests, from science to art to sports. They're like little communities where students get together to do fun stuff and learn new things. These clubs make campus life exciting. They organize events, workshops, and competitions that bring students together and help them grow. And because everyone's so involved, friendships often turn into lifelong connections. In a nutshell, NIT Rourkela is not just about studying—it's about having a great time, feeling safe and making friends.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels are not that good to stay. But yeah basic needs are met. One room for two persons, one gym , one mess, lawn, badminton courts, departmental stores, day and night canteens for all hostels. And parlour and tailor shop in girls hostels as well.

Admission

Admission to NIT Rourkela relies on clearing JEE mains, but the required rank varies by branch. JOSSA manages admissions, ensuring fairness and transparency, with updates available on its website. The institute offers reservation benefits and a female quota to promote diversity. The academic year consists of two semesters, each with mid-semester and end-of-semester exams. Scoring well depends on the professors. The admission process is efficient but needs improvement in the payment portal for a better experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've chosen this course because i love Zoology. The curriculum is strict and it also focus in the discipline of the students. The only problem is the class our overlaps with sports hour so if you want to practice your game you've to miss the last 2 classes. They all teach so professionally . Examination here are conducted so neatly and the time period is also okay.

Course Curriculum Overview:

those course curricullams at central university of odisha is thought fully designed ,offering a balanced blend of theoretical depth and practical relevance. on eof the key reason why students opt for such courses like int mathmatiss is the seamless academic progression and strong foundation it provides for research and comprdative exams. that curricullum could be more better as it can be more practical. what we are studing is like 80% theory and just 20% practical. so i do think that could be more better. the quality needs to be improved.

The curriculum is according to CBSH syllabus,New Delhi. The syllabus can include more practicals. And also the availability of instruments should be there to do practicals individually. The exams are normal ...but the time given can change sometimes due to external factors that might shift the exam dates.
