Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course is good and high on demand right now. The material provided by the university is limited to theory exams and it all depends on the student's interest to learn new technologies. The internal marks for theory subjects are 40 and external theory are 60 marks. The practical marks are 60 for internal and 40 for external. There is a relative grading system so the grades are not that high as compared to other affiliated colleges. The good grade is above 7.5 CGPA and above 8 CGPA would be equivalent to 8.5 CGPA in other colleges. The faculty members are average and they would teach from the ppts prepared by some other faculty. The marks given are good if the matter is more on exams irrelevant to the content written in theory exams. The faculty members teach mostly in Hindi and only few of them teach in English. The proper hands on experience is not provided properly and no one would teach practical properly. There are extra courses which are of no use and are not related to degree

Internships Opportunities

2

The campus placements are the only way you can get the internships in college. The student can try for off-campus internships or semester exchange plans to study abroad. There are some global events conducted and the students can grab an internships in other countries as well for which the university would provide exemption for exams if it is related to University only.

Placement Experience

2

The placements are dull as of now, due to recession and the companies would come with around 8-15lpa and above in starting and come down to 6 or below 6lpa after a few months. If the student is not getting placed, then the university is not responsible for that. There is a department called DCPD which takes care of the placements. Most of the companies have not intimidated anything after the assessment. The student should try off campus or can opt for masters if they are not getting placed in the campus interviews. The highest package is 1 cr and average is 8lpa. These are just the numbers which college had kept officially but there is no guarantee that these numbers of packages are correct. It all depends on the student's hardwork and skills. As of 2024, the percentage of placed students is 40% but half of them have taken referrals and fake NOCs in order to increase CGPA or to skip exams. Only TPP students are allowed to sit in placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee now is above one lakh for CSE specialization course. The student can avail scholarships upto 100% and can continue his/her scholarship if and only if he is having a CGPA of 7.5 or above. If the student couldn't maintain his scholarship, then he/she has to pay the full fee for the semester. The fee should be paid before the given period of time and failing to do so would lead to additional late fee charges. The approx fee of there is no scholarship and the student has hostel would be 10lacs per 4yrs. The student can take education loan but they have to meet the concerned management department regarding the extension for fee payment as the university's uims portal does not have separate waiver for the education loan system. The student should get the proof of education loan and can avail for extension of fee payment. If student is a day scholar and living in a flat or pg then the average cost would be 10-15k per month.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is good in CU except for the issue that the crowd has become much more than that of when I had joined. It takes a lot of time if you are having any issue regarding fee or any other backlogs. The fee payment is done only in offline mode for extra charges like backlog, subject change for open elective. The online fee payment is available for semester and hostel fee payment. The hostel is good regarding electricity, cleanliness, water supply. Outside there are a few communities where the facilities like infrastructure of the flat are good. The rent is 24k for 2BHK including AC and furniture. 4-6 members can stay in 2BHK. There is no ragging in CU campus or hostel. The hostels have good internet connectivity. The only thing is there is not much chance of going out. The warden does not give the pass for watching movies. Only a day-out pass is given and night-out pass is not given most of the times. Sports played are football, cricket, badminton, rugby, kabbaddi, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are really good and well maintained. The hostels are kept clean. There are two types of hostels NC AND ZAKIR.NC is for4 seater, the rooms are very small but the washrooms are kept clean, there is a duct or cooler attached to the room which is based on the timings of the duct in summer. So for summers hostels are only good when the duct is on. The mess food is ok or not good sometimes. Breakfast is good, lunch and dinner are not good most of the times. Hygiene is maintained but the taste of food is not that good. If you are a South Indian then you would definitely hate the mess food. There is an app CU MEAL where you can see the mess menu and timings. The PGs are worst near the campus because they are villages and the facilities are not good. There are a few communities like ek onkar city, omega city, modern valley about 5-10km from the campus. The auto charge is 20rs per person and there are only share autos. Bikes can be bought if you are living outside the campus.

Admission

The process includes taking an entrance test CUCET with which we can avail scholarships. It consists of phases and the first phase of the test has the highest scholarship scales. The admission can also be done on the basis of JEE mains score or intermediate education percentage. The eligibility for CSE-AIML or any other specialization in CSE is 75% in 12th. The university has its own website cuchd.in where we can view the entire fee structure and courses available. We can also contact the management of the university through website. The areas of improvement in admission process are that there is no limit for admission seats, anyone having 75% score can take an admission. You will be made to sit in an earlier batch where already a month's syllabus have been completed. So, join as soon as possible to ensure that you are not missing any classes. The exams are easy to intermediate and any student can easily pass in all subjects with good internals. MST-1hr and SEM EXAM- 3hrs

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
