Course Curriculum Overview

4

My decision was to choose law before taking admission in the college. But the facilities and teachers are very supportive. They know their subjects and are very intelligent. All of them have their methods to teach the students. These methods are so easy that the students can learn everything very easily. And if the students have doubts regarding any topics then the teachers attend it one-on-one. Even the other facilities like the Dean and HOD are very supportive and help the students in their bad times. The college also prepares us for real-world applications. They provide us with resources and thousands of books. They also provide use extra classes for judiciary exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

The teachers and management are very supportive in the matter of internships. They provide us with different Internships by give us information about the internships that help us to grow. There is a separate management for internships which is called "Internship and Placement Cell". They provide us with internships in Lower Courts, High Courts, and even in Supreme Court. The process is very simple, the students just need to fill out the form for the Internship and mark their preferences.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college provides us with different Internships under different lawyers and judges which help us to grow and make our bond stronger in the law field. Different Internships in the high court and the supreme court are very necessary for law students because the students need to experience the outside world of law not only the textbooks.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are available in our college. If you scored more than 8 CGPA in the whole year (including first and second semester) then you will get the scholarship prize. The mess fees is 36,000 and the hostel fees is 20,000 and the tution fees is 124000. So the total fees will be 180000.

Campus Life

4.5

The infrastructure of the college is very huge and wide. It includes different colleges like law college, engineering college, medical college, vocational college etc. Different colleges have different buildings. A huge statue of Buddha ji is present in center of the whole infrastructure. There is a central library which has 4 floors and have lakhs of books. Every building is air-conditioned and has facilities of round tables for discussions or debates. There are 4 very wide auditoriums in the college which look like a movie theatre. They provide us with cricket stadium and football stadium. Also, have swimming pool and a shopping complex from which we can buy eatables and fruits and vegetables etc. There is also a facility of bank and ATM.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facility is very good because the main thing about it is they give us single occupancy. That means a single person in one room. We does not need to share our rooms which is very comfortable foe students. If you are a student then living in the hostel is compulsory as per the college policy. The students who come from outside are not allowed to live anywhere other than the hostel. The registration of the hostel will be at the same time when the student will fill the admission form. Once you deposit the fees and choose your hostel room then it will be allocated to you for One year. After completing one year, the student has to again fill the hostel registration form for the next hostel room and so on...

Admission

First of all, I took the class exam and based on that exam and my marks I got admission. The university gives you admission based on good ranking in class and even if you did not take the class then also gives you admission by conducting online tests and interviews. In that interview, the authorities ask some questions regarding the field you want to pursue and if they are satisfied with your answer then you will be qualified and get admission. After that, you have you deposit the fees by filling out the admission form and other necessary and compulsory forms like for reservation benefits or PWD for disabled persons, etc. Students can get scholarships based on their performance in exams. We have to fill the hostel and mess form also as it is compulsory for outside students to stay in the hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There has lot of visits like court visit, parliament visit, etc The curriculum provides a basic foundation of theoretical knowledge that is useful for understanding core concepts and for pursuing further academic studies, such as higher education or competitive examinations. It helps develop analytical thinking and subject awareness. There is significant scope for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The syllabus should be updated regularly to include recent developments, practical modules, project-based learning, internships, workshops, and skill-enhancement courses.Examinations are conducted frequently in the form of internal assessments, mid-semester exams, and end-semester exams, which sometimes creates academic pressure for students. The timing of exams is often closely packed, leaving limited time for proper preparation and revision. In terms of difficulty, the exams are generally of moderate level, though some subjects are challenging due to lengthy syllabi and conceptual depth.

Corporate Law is a subjects but no corporate placements as law firms were the sole contributors of our university. They gave as many placements as 30% students were placed and that too with very thin packages. So, university needs to fix this just like they have fixed every single thing at the campus.

Placements for Law are not comparable to the tech courses so far at GLA. Every year combining BBA LLB and BA LLB around 300 and I don't think even 100 are placed. So, GLA University will have to find a way to get atleast half the students find placements here and because I know my chances of getting placements are slim, I will be opting for doing LLM after I am done with LLB in 2027.

The college provide students with PDF lectures which focuses on personality development which includes confidence building, speaking and listening skills, etc. They also give tips for a better resume and how to give interview and prepare us for interviews by organising mock interviews. 5th year students are the focused students for the campus placement. Some students choose to be an advocate and others may prepare for higher studies and or prepare for judiciary and other civil services examinations. I personal preference to go for the one field which can open my ways for other field stoo.

Students from third year have started getting Pre-Placement Offers, but many of those are majorly due to their own accomplishments. Students get ample amount of time to intern at various law firms and courts, to secure a PPO on their own. In addition to this, the Internship and Placement Committee, often comes in aid to secure PPOs for the students of the graduating batch.
