Remarks

The only feedback I would like to give to my college would be, having a great infrastructure and good staff please stand-out of the challenges and from regular colleges and we could be one of the best institutes in India.

Entrance Preview

This is the only college I found in 2012 who looked at my marks card and issued scholarship but where as others were asking for donations for admission. Being an IIT qualifier and good performance in academics I couldn't choose to pay the donation and take admission so, luckily I found SETJU, Bangalore.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure was good but I don't think its updated to the real-time but this challenge was not only faced by us it's there throughout India. But the advantage of being in deemed-to-be university is the way they execute the things to teach. We had a process called Washington accord which changed us the way we write, attend and score in academics.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college won't provide any in-house internships but they do help us in getting internships in some of the companies if they have contacts.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement and Job opportunities are not that good enough that it has to be and they could be better. The PC himself was hopeless for the people who want to get into their dream companies or dream jobs this is the general problem that students face in any private university.

College Events

4.5

We had the best festivals in the colleges for every semester and the management was really helpful and they have sponsored my event too. And we had a good number of events like Infinity, Food Fest, Dhandia night & Kannada Rajosthava etc and they also conduct few entrepreneur events, workshops on relevant courses that students hold.

Fee Structure And Facilities

the fee structure was completely worth. Basically, the fee structure is of two types of tuition fee and hostel fee. As I got Scholarship my tuition fee was 90k approximately but the challenge they ask us to pay in one short which is a bit problematic to many of middle-class families and hostel fee was 80k but trust me the hostel has 3-star facilities and best in south India.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, Scholarship facility is available where I'm one of the students who got a scholarship and that the main reason for me to join in this university.

Campus Life

4.5

The college life is undoubtedly unimaginable there was no ragging instead our seniors made us so comfortable initially and later we're friends who play games like counter strike, Farcry, Outdoor, they train us too. They support you for the events and what not.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network was improving every year in case of getting us all in touch and sharing their contacts and creating a separate portal for us to get in touch.

Exam Structure

The exam structure was tough in the initial stages because the pattern and the marks awarded were completely different from the place which I had come but eventually, we were able to cope up and got comfortable with the structure and we also had enough time from exam to exam.

Admission

Firstly one of my friend has enquired and took admission in SETJU later I enquired about this college and took an appointment to meet the counsellor in the VV puram branch of Jain Evening college then we went to the main campus and we had a campus tour later the admission process started and joined in AUGUST 2012.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
