Likes

Campus life is better, they have created a food court and renewed the canteen which is far more better now.
The fests are just a thing you can't miss, you get different opportunity to develop yourself wheter it be for sponsorship or event management
Faculty is quite supportive , they keep taking sessions, to support students in overall aspect i.e sessions on mental health we also have a gfm which is guardian faculty member

Dislikes

Attendance required is 100 percent which is quite impractical
Exams have a timeline issue, they should have proper gaps between them
Importance and time for sports and extra curriculum should be given

Course Curriculum Overview

The course that I enrolled in , is designed by TCS, which was the main reason why I enrolled. The curriculum prepares you not just for placements but also for various exams like the gate, gre. Teaching methods are good, but they require 100 percent attendance which is quite hectic, that's why I think attendance should not be mandatory. They have started taking exams more frequently, than last year. They take 2 exams, in one day, just to save time, and cover the overall syllabus in given months(4-5). But it is very stressful to study different subjects in one day, that's why we don't get much time for extracurriculars

Internships Opportunities

One of my senior got internship in goldman Sachs, with annual stipend as 1200000 as summer analyst, Last year students published their own research paper on aiml domain which basically identifies objects on road.

Placement Experience

From 3 rd yr students become eligible for placements, the no. Of placements is high but the quality is not so high. Many mass requirting companies visit the campus, butcompanies with package more than 20 lpa hardly visit. Almost 70-80 percent which opted for jobs got placed. My plan after getting degree is to do a job or prepare for higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

They first said tution fees is going to be around 104000 through out 4 years, but this year due to some issues with govt ig, they increased up to 108190. Plus they have have very easy method of paying fees, first get in long line to get challan, then fill it, go to bank, pay the cash/ cheque, again go to office submit the recipet then appload details online on their website. The overall cost is around 1,50,000 as I avail bis facility which costs around32, 000.i haven't got any scholarship as I fall in category open above 8lpa,. I am technical coord in a club named competitve coding club.

Campus Life

Our annual fest is divided into two parts innovision which is tech fest, there are coding competitions, hackathons, the next is gandharva is which dance fest. Library books are limited to curriculum. Facilities are great, we have maclab, for our branch we have special intel lab used for artificial intelligence. Sports is not taken seriously but our dance club hiphopers is best in pune. We gdsc, ted talks which affects student life greatly

Admission

I attempted various exams but college through mht-cet. Application process for choosing the college is quite long. You have to go to a chosen center to take stamps, and verify documents. Eligibility for my course was above 94 percentile in mhtcet

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. My experience of iiit pune

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
