Remarks

The Overall college experience was good and the management was also doing a good job but they got selfish and only thought about the profit and the welfare of the students.

Entrance Preview

with the kind of marks , i scored in entrance test. I could not get admission in top colleges. And i was searching for the colleges where i could get in and start studying then one of the relatives told me about this college which had two campuses one in Rajpura and the other one in Baddi.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum was available online and brochure was provided and After that it was available on college app called Chalkpad. We used chalkpad for almost every information. There were around 4-5 courses each semester and in total we had 8 semesters and in 3rd and 4th Year, we had project models to be submitted along with reports and chart and ppt. Course Curriculum: overall good

Internships Opportunities

No it does not provide internship. The stipend was only given to Mtech students who taught the b.tech students side by side with there studies. The Overall experience was good.

Placement Experience

3.5

The job opportunities are good. Out of my batch which had almost over 800 eligible students at least 600 were placed. The placement committee of college does great work to achieve such targets. The placements are excellent in Chitkara university campus. 100% of the students get placed. The major companies like Wipro, HCL, TATA, TCS, Hotel Hyatt, Hotel Taj, Fortis Hospital etc. visited the college for placements. The average package offered is 3-4 LPA.

College Events

3

There were many events in my college- annual cultural fest for which celebrity was invited and then hostel events, Tech fest were conducted. Apart from this freshers and farewell .The fest was very big when compared with the fests conducted in the colleges nearby chitkara university. The average footfall is very good. The organisation play a very important role in organising the fest, and the college authorities pay their contributions for the fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is a little on the higher side for a middle class family person to afford. The total fee for 1 year came out be around 2 lac whereas the 4 year fee was around 8 lac which is quite expensive. This is the major disadvantage of studying in a private college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The scholarship was given to the topper of the batch. The college provides the scholarship for the students who are good in studies. The college reimburses the fee of the entire course as scholarship. I didn't avail any scholarship or any loan from the college.

Campus Life

3

Attending your first year of college presents a lot of new experiences: living away from home, meeting new people and managing your own time. Prepare for life on campus by figuring out what to bring, how to handle challenging circumstances and what you can do to manage your workload.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The food given was okay. The mess food had variety. The meal schedule was fixed on weekly basis. The quality of the food was good. The food had breakfast, lunch, snack and Dinner times. There was separate mess for boys and girls. Hygiene was given much of the importance.

Alumni/Alumna

After leaving the college for 4 years, i receive mails for the alumni meet which feels great even when i don't have to join.

Exam Structure

The mid terms and final exams - both had some weightage to be calculated for final marks. In my first years, attendance also had marks. In the second year, the marks criteria for attendance was removed . After that only the mid terms and had the weightage. THe split was something thing like. 10% of the week test, 50 % of mid term and rest for the final exam.

Admission

The admission was through the AIEEE test during my time and i had to fill out the admission form prior to register. After which an induction was scheduled and during which the fee had to be paid. The aim of the counseling process is to extend a helping hand to potential scholars and facilitate their search for the program of their choice. Candidate would have to personally appear before the Counseling committee on the date and time specified. Failure to do so will result in rejection of the application. The candidates would be required to be in possession of the documents as given in the IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS at the time of counseling.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty was very helpful. We even reached out to them in our free hours and they always helped with every possible solution especially during the making of projects. They always guided us well. The teachers who are qualified with PhD teach us, and they have 2-3 years experience. The faculty members are very friendly, and they teach us very well. They take a lot of pain for the students, and they explain everything.

The placements are really good especially for computer science and electronics. This year only one of our senior got a 1.2 crore package he was of computer science branch. Rest of the branches also have a decent package 11 lpa being the average of all branches combined and also chemical branch has a 100 percent placement rate.

There are lot of Companies that visit NIT Hamirpur like google , Infosys,TISCO and etc. Highest package ever offered is 1.75cr in CS branch and each year 1cr plus package are offered to cs students by different companies like google , meta and etc . The percentage of students placed is normally 80 to 90percents overall. And I also intend to get a decent package after my degree

Management is very centralised, and least bothered for the overall development. Though major steps have been taken for students involvement, still there is a long way to go, when management starts focusing on the overall development process.
