Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

the curriculum involves many programming languages and many courses that we can choose amoung as we do our ffcs ourselves , we have choices at many intervals. so far, in second semester , recently python language has started and i am able to understand the basics of the language clearly and i think i will be able to solve complex questions in this programming language by the end of the course and some practice by my side the staff should give personal attention to students and make them love the subject instead of mindlessly teaching , this is almost never the problem except in maths . where due to class size teacher barely gives personal attention and just focuses on covering the syllabus the frequency and timing of examination if manageable , but the gap between 2 exams are often pretty less at times, which may cause us huge amount of stress in examination days

Internships Opportunities

3

many companies offer internships in vitb college , me being 1st year student limits me to know everything but i know some seniors who have done internships , the stipend usually ranged from 20,000 to 50,000 . wipro, amd , microsoft ,infosys etc offer internships

Placement Experience

4

third year onwards you're eligible for placements, many companies visit the campus . mainly recruitment drives are conducted by tcs and infosys..... but there are sometimes 30 lpa+ offers highest package last year was 49 lakhs . almost 100 percent students get placed. i plan to get a job after b tech but if i'm still unsatisfied then i'll pursure mba/m tech.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee structure entirely depends on your rank, if student is in category 1 , the fee is 2 lakhs per year for the student , 3 lakhs for category 2 , 4 lakhs for category 3 , 4.5 for category 4 and 5 lakhs for category 5 you may not take the course and may try again next year for better category if you want to spend less . in course and hostel registration too , VITEEE rank is given priority in the first year , in the subsequent years this is replaced by attendance and cgpa scholarship is also available for excepsional students who are in top 100 of the exam VITEEE , or are their state board toppers. since i am in year 1, i havent taken much job roles or internships so far but i do hope to in upcoming years.

Campus Life

4

campus life is pretty awesome , it is a lush green campus , with vast amount of space . there is crowd as well but enough space for them. library has a wide range of collection and is enough for the needs of students in terms of academics and entertainment. various different clubs organise different festivals and those festivals are often celebrated by everyone. the entry fee too is usually pretty cheap. there are many clubs run and operated by students , these clubs may be of technology , languages or cultures

Hostel Facilities

3.5

i am in a three bedded room , the space is pretty limited . my hostel block is pretty new so all the things aren't installed yet like the other hostels. we are still missing a mirror in the room and a lift in the building . hostel authorities don't allow you to have electric kettle , but hot water is available in the water tanker. the food quality is pretty good . the hostel ffcs too depends on your VITEEE rank in first year and attendance in later years.

Admission

eligibility of the course - 60 percent in 12th is the bare minimum in the VITEEE test , your rank decides your fee category , but the chances of not landing in any fee category is very less exam is pretty fair and simple , 12th level questions of physics , chemistry and mathematics no negative marking , 1 mark rewarded per correct answer , 0 marks if the answer is wrong exam duration was 150 minutes areas for improvement could be having negative marking in the examination so there's no hit and trial which may cause the worthy students to fall behind the ffcs course registration process should give more time to students , so they can think their choices through and the server should be capable of working in heavy traffic in course curriculum , there should be more emphasis on programming languages than studying maths , physics , chemistry all over again

At LNCT students become eligible for engineering placements in the final year. Like after 3rd year, meaningful intenrships are provided and most students get PPO through that. For those fail to do so, our college invites a lot of companies which gives us core placements.

there are not much chances of placement as the student strength has increased drastically, students become eligible for placement from 3rd year, also as per the documentations there are more than 12z companies like hcltech, microsoft etc but not every documentation is correct so the chances of getting placed at campus is significantly low so i am planning to pursue higher studies and opting for gate

You become eligible to sit for placements in 7th semester , that is , in your 4th year. There are companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, Axxela, American Express, BNY Melon, Adobe , Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Optum, Oracle, etc. But in other IITs which are also 2nd generation, more companies (around 50) comes for on campus placements . The highest pay is mostly for Software development and Quant roles. Last year it was around 1 Cr per annum of a Computer Science student which is really great. And the average package was around 25-26 Lakhs per annum. Last year , around 88% of all students including B.tech and M.tech got placed with decent salary.
