Likes

The overall university is good, there are lots of experienced people who have helped me a lot and also really good seniors to guide me along the course.
The university have one of the best Institute such as IUCAA and NCRA TIFR which are really good for internships and for higher studies.

Dislikes

The department is really small and the interaction of teachers is very low with the students and the teaching is also not that good as compared to other colleges.
The facilities in the department are low and we need to go to other departments to complete lab work or other.

Course Curriculum Overview

The main aspect to choose this course was that it is a bsc blended course which is different from normal bsc and also the department (IDSS) was in collaboration with University of Melbourne (Australia). It is better than other colleges because here we need to do all subjects .i.e study, which benefits us in the future.

Internships Opportunities

For internships we have really work hard and also need to communicate with our professors for good recommendations. Not only through the department but also we have to look out of the university for internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

During the admission process we had to pay around ?4k which they called challan fees then actual fees was around ?33k in which they included all the requirements of the course like lab fees, library fees, examination fees, etc. The campus placement are actually not there.

Campus Life

There are few annual and technical festivals held but not often, guest lecture are held one or two every month. The department has a library which little small and dont have a wide range of books. Only sport activities are held each year. There are few clubs like space, geo, psychology club, etc which are really good.

Admission

First of all there was registration for the course and we had to give an entrance test also. Cut off was not presented and the admission was done through different kota and also by ranking. The admission process was not that difficult but the website was very bad to handle... It had so many bugs and errors.

Placement Experience:

from second year only the start with internship fairs and in third year they do the job fair very few IT companies were there. i dont know the exact companies which came in the college but TCS and infosys average pacakge for BSC IT was 2-4 LPA placement rate around 40 % i will look for a job after my degree

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

Placement Experience:

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS
