In terms of relavence, the course is detailed and specific to the subject that I specialised. All the important aspects and information regarding the course have always been covered and the highlight of the course is the practicality of it where through internships and field work, students are able to get the real life experience of what the working world is about with the guidance and support of some of the faculty.

With regards to opportunities, the university collaborates with schools, hospitals and other centres which provides excellent experience for students in their respective fields which also boosts students confidence in their abilities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for a year comes to about one lakh per year, which is a hefty amount but scholarships are also available, sadly the government's aids are not sufficient or are not being provided efficiently to all the students. Scholarships from the university itself are available, but it cannot cover the whole student population which is one of the drawbacks. Regarding campus employment, it is still one of the areas where students need to be informed of.

Campus Life

As a student, I would say that the campus life here is really fun with a yearly varsity week where we can enjoy and relax and also interact with the whole campus. Each department would have clubs in which each student could potentially participate and display their talents.

Admission

The admission process was quite easy, we had to submit all our paperwork of our previous graduation and based on that we were selected for the course. The only aspect I think that needs improvement would be, the checking of the background of each student so that it resonates with the subject that they are choosing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MSc in biotechnology and bioinformatics is quite a difficult subject and the syllabus is very huge to complete in few months . Also this subject includes a lot of practical work which are so time consuming. Practicals are more interesting than theory paper. The curriculum prepares us moderately for real world applications. The syllabus should be divided properly among the semesters so that no burden is on a student. The teachers should teach the subject with more practical than theory based. Some semesters donot almost lasts for 6 months . They are less than 6 months and then exam approaches which is very difficult for students to cope up with.

My Honest Review

Course Curriculum Overview:

First, I was interested in my course i,e Counselling psychology since my class X. I took up psychology in my XI and XII but as my State Manipur does not offer Psychology that time, I couldn't continue in my bachelor. So, I ended up taking English. Even during those, whenever psychology things pop up in a paper or media, it drews my full attention to it. That interest makes me got letter marks in my class XII as well. The first reason I took up this course was, because I want to help people. Seeing lots of generational trauma that affects the up coming children, mental well being of people makes me want to change the world. I got a whole lot of sympathy and burden in my heart. Secondly, I want to know myself more. Taking this course makes more aware of myself, how to stand up for myself, understand people more. I did not regret taking this course. I'm fully content about my decision.

Review of NEHU, Shillong

Remarks:

The college is located in shillong in a picturesque location and has a humongous campus with waterfalls, forests, lakes, hills, pine trees to shopping complex, health center, indoor stadium, salon, restaurants etc. It has beautiful cherry blossom trees which bloom during winter for a brief period of time.

The admission process vary depending on the department of school and for me, personally the admission process for my course was easier. The application form can be found in the university website and the application fees 1000 rupees and probably June is the last date for submission of application form and admission. The admission process was quiet easy and convenient. We go to the university website and through online, we registered and pay the required amount. With that the admission was done. The admission process in Martin Luther Christian University is very good because I apply it online . The day i have apply , on the same day i get a message from the university that i have got the admission. There is no entrance exam.
