My Honest Review

First, I was interested in my course i,e Counselling psychology since my class X. I took up psychology in my XI and XII but as my State Manipur does not offer Psychology that time, I couldn't continue in my bachelor. So, I ended up taking English. Even during those, whenever psychology things pop up in a paper or media, it drews my full attention to it. That interest makes me got letter marks in my class XII as well. The first reason I took up this course was, because I want to help people. Seeing lots of generational trauma that affects the up coming children, mental well being of people makes me want to change the world. I got a whole lot of sympathy and burden in my heart. Secondly, I want to know myself more. Taking this course makes more aware of myself, how to stand up for myself, understand people more. I did not regret taking this course. I'm fully content about my decision.

We got the opportunity to work in different schools and colleges in Shillong. We are guided by the department faculty and the career counselor. We actually did not pay for our internship nor we get any payment from our internship.

The fees was paid through online portal in the university website. It is paid in 2 installments per semester. We paid around 39,000 to 45,000 per one installment in a semester. To be honest, the amount of the fees is quiet very heavy to pay twice every semester. One good and warmth opportunity was, the University is always ready to help students who needs help. There are also scholarships provided for students issued by the University. The University also give financial assistance to deserving and needy students like, for exchange program or for academic purpose. As for me, I'm a member of Student Council (SC), an University influencer and Befriender in the University. In the SC, we help students regarding their academic or any problems by consulting the deans for them. We help organize any kinds of programs and events that happen in the University. We work hard a lot and also gain a good experiences as well.

My University thus far have been amazing. Honestly, I have learned and experienced so many new things in such a short period of time. I'm still discovering all the opportunities that my University offers me. MLCU is a very welcoming place and I felt like my own home now. My classes were great and I enjoy every of them especially my specialization class. I,e Family &Marriage. Through my work as a student council member, I have learned to plan many events and work as a team. We SC organized Aurora which is the grandest event from the University. There's a various sports activities and indoor and outdoor activities where students got the opportunity to excel their skills and talent.

In my hostel, there's a Wifi in which we pay 200 per month for it. Meal is provided twice in a day, Morning and evening. We have meat twice in a week that was fine. And about the registration process, as for me, I saw the link in the University website and contact the given number and went to the particular place for admission. The hostel fees is 5500/- per month excluding Wi-Fi. It is located in Nongrim Hills near Mizo Modern School.

The admission process was quiet easy and convenient. We go to the university website and through online, we registered and pay the required amount. With that the admission was done. Any graduates from any background can get admitted to the particular course so it is really an opportunity for the students who wants to shift their interest field. The admission procedure was fine and easy. When I do the admission, I took the contact number of the help desk which was given in the University website and I was asking help from it and I got a response on time which really makes me happy.
