What Students Say

Likes

The faculty are more friendly than other colleges
They are more cooperative in helping the students.
Unlike most hostel rules also are easily maintained without much resistance.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college, seems to be soo old
The rules and regulations imposed are following of a school
Too much of hierarchical maintenance, the students to stand clue less and unresponsed to most of there problems

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum does not train u to dance on the real world platform but rather teaches u everythg tht u require in order for u to become an audience in the real world. Most colleges spend a lot time on real world studies, eg' and case studys allowing students to get a rough grasp in order to survive and stand top on the real world. Teaching curriculum acc to my college the case studies and nd other travels r done with 10 to 15 min of distance .

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure of college seems to vary , the fees for the councilling seems to be 50000/ur Financial support are rarely given , given to PPL who have applied for certain certificates and acts. PPL who suffer from money deficiency will be given

Campus Life

Not much of any festival is grantly celebrated, new year, Christmas, diwali, Pongal, all these celebrations are continued with max two days holidays, especially eid the number of holidays we are given

Hostel Facilities

Not much of a accomodation facilities are given, The accomodation comes with an table and a wall mounted . The food quality is neither high nor soo great,the food noting system should be more student friendly

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

Eligibility: To pass the entrance exam named NATA (an exclusive exam for architecture) Precisely to score above 80 . In order to get high counciling placements it is important to score more than 110. The exam pretty difficult, but post COVID the exams hv become pretty much easier that a lot PPL seems to feel overconfident towards the course. The improvements would be to re introduce drawing tests , exclude shape IQ based questions, since it doesn't pretty much give an idea of what architecture is to the examines. The test can include more of basic structural questions, drawing analytic questions.

Beyond your limits

Placement Experience:

Students can become eligible in their 8th semester which is also called PPO (Pre Placement Offer) where the number of students getting placed are very low or the students can get their placements in their 10th semester. L&T, Sanjaypuri architects, Zaha Hdid architects are the few companies that I know. In general there are 10-20 offers made. The highest package offered is 18LPA and average is 5.5LPA as per the latest data. 78-85 percent students get placed and the other 15 percent opt for further studies. Currently I'm not sure with my plan but I may do master degree.

Architecture amidst serene greenery

Course Curriculum Overview:

The duration of the course is 5 years with 10 semesters in total. I think this is good period of time to learn architecture. Each semester has five theory subjects and one design subject. The design subject deals with designing buildings with given brief without any plagiagrism. The other five theory subjects are quite easy other than the subjects that involves maths, which requires practice and learning. all the nine semesters are quite conceptualized, whereas the internship semester gives an idea on how the real world of architecture industry works. Though the syllabus is old all over india, it might be for betterent if the practical learning is involved in all semesters.

ONE OF THE BEST CAMPUS AMONGST ALL NITs. NIT TRICHY.

Placement Experience:

Placement happens in the fourth year before the final semester. Multiple companies offers jobs like Google, Amazon, Instagram etc. Average salary package is around 50LPA 95 percent of students get placed in average There is no campus placement for architecture.

the students need to score 50% marks in physics, mathematics and chemistry and also 50% overall to seek admission in this course. Other than that you need to give a aptitude test in architecture field or NATA exam. The selection is strictly done on the combined scores of 12th and scores obtained in the online test. I limited what I would not like to do first, I was very clear about that I had a style for inventiveness and an enthusiasm for anything to do with hands on, craftsmanship, and travel!
