College management is very prompt to adopt any new methodologies & curriculum modified to suit industrial requirement.

BITSAT-2005 scored 312/450. It was the first time BITSAT was organized (earlier board Toppers used to get selected in BITS). Based on my score I would be eligible for Mech/Chemical/Civil apart from all other science cources. I had slight inquisitiveness towards Chemical discipline thus gone for the same. Admission process is simple, you have to online submit your choice of branches for each campus (Pilani/Goa/Hyderabad/Dubai). Branches will be allotted from top scorer downwards vacancy-wise.

Course structure is very dynamic with a lot of scope for improvisation if one needs so. There are some fixed courses which each discipline has to cover and some electives (6) which one has to complete. These electives can be from any field say language / networking / social studies / or any computer language.

We have 2 internship programmes one (8 weeks) at the end of second year & other one (1 semester) is in the last year. These internships are allotted based on one's branch and his CGPA. Spread across various fields from engg. to management & consultancy to IT, these organizations provide a healthy stipend apart from various other facilities. These also help in getting PPOs and otherwise valuable industry experience to land you in healthy pay packages during placements. Stipends vary from 10k upto 50k and some are in abroad also.

Placements are organized in 2 parts during 7th & 8th semesters as half of the students are on internship during 7th semester. Companies ranging from PSUs to MNCs in all fields come for recruiting with their handsome pay packages. Schlumberger, Shell, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, etc being some of the recruiters.

60k per semester, fooding & hostel charges extra. But there are various Merit cum need scholarships 25%, 50% & 100% of your tution fees for each semester provided to a lot of students. Each batch in BITS is diversified in itself with students from far east to last of kerala making the whole mix an indian diaspora. Gender ratio is more tilted towards male students. As there isnt any reservation towards admission only intellectually qualified are allotted a seat. Only merit is only criteria of segregation rest doesnt matter.

Hostel facilities are quite good. Almost every students (except few in first year) are offered single rooms. LAN facility in each room 24/7, TV room, Table Tennis room, Recreational facilities provided in each hostel. Each hostel has a mess providing veg/
