Remarks

As the title explains it is a good college in a wrong city, the development of city would certainly affect the standard of living of the students and that is what is a bad thing about the college. Otherwise, the college is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum could be said easy for those who had prepared for JEE. The topics are related to 12th science textbooks so easy to grasp. For non-JEE aspirants, it is not a tough job if u are good at math. With a focus on research, i would say it lacks a bit there to have a retarded syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, they do provide internship but at a very low stipend. I have seen seniors do internships outside the college propaganda i.e to find internships on their own and get a high stipend with an experience that has more value in the market. However civil and mech students don't have to worry about that much.

Placement Experience

4

the college has good placement percentage but low packages. Some do get lucky to get high packages but its their talent. All big companies like infosys , amazon, TCS, TECH MAHINDRA visit the college in search of young engineers to be joined as helping hands in their companies. I personally feel that students are not satisfied with packages and so they try starting their own start ups.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee strucure is the One of the best parts of the college. The fees are quite low or average. The college feee being around 1 lakh,of which a certain amount can be retrived if u are elegible to avail a scholarship. Also for students coming from far away, the hostel service is very good and cheap. The rooms are good and the mess is cheap, also good food is available. Education loans also can be easily acquired due to college's help in this regard.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a lot of scholarships offered by the state government, college, national government NGOs etc.Scholarships can be availed for both college fees and Hostel fees. The EBC and minority scholarships being the main scholarships. Loans can also be availed.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio in college is quite low.Campus life is good but as compared to Other colleges its not worth it. As I said before this college lacks a lot about fun life and extra curricular activities. The college is mostly affected by jain culture as its a jain minority college. The college is blessed with students from jammu kashmir to Kanyakumari.

Hostel Facilities

5

I would say here comes the best part, the hostel life. The hostel fees being cheap but the room quality is pretty awesome. For a boys hostel, noone could imagine such a clean hostel. The staff who does the work of maintainence is very good at their job. The entry and exit rules are quite flexible according to needs of student which is a very good thing. The mess is right under the hostel and there are 2 different mess available for students.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a good introduction to seniors when the first year students are admitted. There is fun during the first meet which cannot be termed as ragging as it is nothing but jokes. Yes, that helps the students a lot to adjust to the new atmosphere.

Admission

I applied in the DTE cap rounds like everyone else in maharashtra. My admission took place under DTE by following all their procedures of form filling and list filling. To confirm the admission I had to pay 5000 rupees by DD to DTE . The amount was refundable if I did not take the admission with a cancellation of processing fee of rupees 1000. The process may seem hectic due to rush of people but it is quite easy process, just a bit lengthy.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources

The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
