Likes

Faculty are friendly and supportive for studnets
Teaching way is decent. If you attend college no need of self study.
Labs are decent with good computer specifications.

Dislikes

Fee is too much. Many of us cannot afford
Admin are not soo good. And information are not smoothly circulated sometimes
Campus is not so vast and canteens are ok ok types

Course Curriculum Overview

Majority of faculty are friendly except few. IT was emerging branch so I choose it. Faculties are Post Graduated either M.Tech or many are Phd. The term exam are not so tough but are of desent difficulty. Cheating is prohibitted, if caught then heavy consicounses may occur including delay of 1 year in degree

Placement Experience

Placements of OIST is decent. If you are a good learner then a good placement can be achieved. Campus placements are form end of 6th sem. Companies like cognigent, TCS, ect are there for placement. Average palcement is of aroud 4 lac. And highest varry year to year last year it was of about 50 lac. Almost 70-80% get placed every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you took admission at 1 lakh the all 4 year it will be 1 lakh only. The fee hike occurs for new batch only. There are multiple scholarships here. but very less for General categoty. There are special scholarships for girls too.

Campus Life

Annual fest or tech fest generally occur in Feb- Mar months. Library if good. There are multiple books and quantity are huge. Sports and ectra curricular activities on the campus are also their there are nodal competitions in which intercollege competitions are there.

Admission

I had joined this college through MPDTE coouncelling process. In that I choose thourgh JEE entrace exam entry. The branch cutoff of IT department if about till 50 percentile almost. The admission process was quite desent.

SGSITS: JUST A BIG BRAND

Placement Experience:

At the end of 2nd year, companies like goldman sachs comes to take interns. For placements students become eligible from 6th or 7th semester. In recent years goldman sachs is the biggest recruiter, oracle and Deloitte have also recruited, other firms like tcs and infosys also come. Giants like Amazon and google have stopped visiting since few years. Last year highest package was 72 lpa to an ece student. Average lies around 8 lpa. In tech branch 70-80% students are placed. In lower branches 50-60% students are placed. My plan is also to get placed at a decent package after completion of course.

The college have good placements as far as I got to know. The highest package was 8500000 lpa last year and average package was 1900000 lpa. My plan after the degree is to get god job in ECE cire company.

LIFE IN MITS-DU

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to get placed and many companies visits every year for placement and approx 60-70% students gets placement every year.As per my knowledge there is no company which has made no offer.Average package is about 6-7 lakhs per annum.My plan is to take good package from on campus placement drive.If I am unable to get this then I will try for off campus placement and I also want to do MTECH after graduating.

Placement Experience:

Campus Pl start from the 7th semester with good companies visiting for core branches popular recruiters are tafe eichers, CG power, Disa. Cognizant and Infosys for the IT roles also. The average package is up to the 6 LPA. After completing my degree I am planning To join a good company of the mechanical branch which helps me in building my career in the core engineering field.

I applied to OIST after reviewing many other colleges in Bhopal, under which comes LNCT, TIT and SIRT. Personally, to me OIST seemed like a better option, because it found that it provided good opportunities in terms of placements, quality of education, support from faculty, and financially as well. I was not rejected from other colleges but my preferred branch was not offered to me, hence I had to look for other options as well. At OIST, the admission process is quite smooth since admission can be done through JEE counselling or through MP DTE counselling as well. OIST Bhopal has best faculties!!
