Remarks

I've just got good remarks. I never felt anything bad about GLA. I put trust in the college and the faculty. And the output I got was enough for me. Management is well good. The treasure Mr. Neeraj Agarwal a most impressive person, he knows how to manage the college.

Entrance Preview

GLAET, entrance test which is conducted by the college itself. I scored 70% in the test. I opted for Gla University because I heard the placements here are good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is according to the syllabus provided by the university. It covers all the required topics which are essential for learning in any stream. Ample of opportunities are provided to students for learning. The course excludes the unnecessary theory. And mostly practicals are focused upon.

Internships Opportunities

I don't know about the internship but recently the study in abroad program has been started by the university. Which is quite impressive though the students have to pay a bit more for it.

Placement Experience

4.5

Yes. Coming to the placements. This is the best part, the placement cell of the university is most helpful and talking about companies. Most MNC visited the college in 2017. I myself am placed in "Wipro" so yup placement is good. In all the branches mechanical and civil the companies come for on-campus drives.

College Events

4

So many events. Namely Spandan Maitree-sports event biggest in North India. Many colleges participate in this event. TedX events- national entrepreneur s and many motivational speakers attend this event. Renowned actor Ashish Vidhyarthi came in 2017.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are a bit expensive for b.tech. But according to the facilities and the standard of the college, the fees are nominal. However, you get a scholarship if you are scoring first division or more then 90%. This year more scholarship is being awarded by the university on the basis of intermediate and jee scores. So yes affordable if you score well in the exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, at my time a 35k yearly scholarship was awarded to students who scored more than 90% in their examinations. from this year scholarships are being given to students based on their scores in jee exams and also on the basis of the percentage in intermediate examinations.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is just awesome. You'll enjoy every bit of the campus. And when you pass out you'll be in love with the college campus. The gender ratio is about 2:1 male: female. Diversity- students come from East India ie from up east, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, and of course up west.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The new wing hostels are awesome. Internet connection. Cold Water supply in summers. AC as well as NON- AC hostels. The food is good in a mess. A well-planned menu for the mess is decided by the mess committee which have students to put their views on what should be included and excluded in food. The hostel fees varies for NON-AC it's about 35k and a bit expensive for ac.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni meets are conducted by the college and they come for representing the students and the college. Seniors are helpful and they provide you ample help. My seniors who are placed in reputed mnc's provided me a lot of guidance during the placement drives.

Exam Structure

The exams for b.tech are semester wise. Two semesters in a year. Each semester is divided into three parts. The first module, the second module, and the third final module. 20 marks each for the 1st and 2nd module. 40 marks for the third module and 20 marks given by internal examiner. The exams are never hectic. As the course is limited to the syllabus and no unnecessary theory is required to be mugged up.

Admission

I gave the entrance test GLAET which was conducted in 2014. I scored 70% and I was selected. Then I opted for my stream i.e. Computer science. Then I had to submit a few documents like the marksheets of intermediate , high school and the medical certificate. Then I finally submitted my college fee.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is well qualified and experienced. The teachers give their heart in teaching. I would like to tell about my personal experience, the faculty in Computer science is so dedicated that even if you have doubts after the lectures they conduct the session for doubt clearing. And also the teachers are friendly enough which helps the students to open up and discuss the subject material.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 3rd year. The placement of the college is decent. The average package for tech branches stands at 4-5 LPA. Most of the offers are made from mass recruiters like TCS, cognizant, etc. However, product-based companies also visit the campus but very few students get short-listed for them. The highest package for the 2025 batch was around 22 lakhs from JP morgan in which 2 students got placed. Microsoft also offered a package of 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 50-60%. If you maintain 8+ CGPA and have the fundamentals clear then you can definitely secure a decent package from this college. The placement department of the college is supportive.
