Large and eco friendly campus, all departments are well equipped
Good hiring by companies and core sector is doing good
Very helpful and supportive faculties and staffs is every case

Dislikes

More infrastructure required and more lab equipments required
More opportunities regarding internship required from college side
There is still few cases of ragging by seniors in hostel only

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Electrical Engineering cause I am interested in this field and want to work in core sector engineering. The faculty members ar quite helpful and supportive in hit , The faculty student ratio is 1:60.

Internships Opportunities

There is large no . Of industries in haldia hence internship opportunitiws are present such as like iocl , haldia petrochemical, cesc etc . Stipend are not really provided and even paid internships are there .

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placement from 3 Rd year. Companies come to campus and hire students . Students can do internships from 2nd year. Last year 90 companies came and the percentage of placed students were 91 % Highest package is 40 lpa and average is 6 lpa .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 4 lalk 80 thousand for btech and is changed according the rules by West Bengal govt . The costing is quite low compared to other colleges in other states . There is a opportunity of a scholarship known as svmcm which is provided byr West Bengal govt

Campus Life

The Hit has a large campus and there are three grouds and one basketball court and a gym too and various stores of food drinks stationaries etc . There are various feat organises around the whole year but mainly two of them are a cultural and a tech fest .

Admission

West Bengal joint entrance examination and Jee mains both exams are applicable and the closing rank of cse in hit is approx 6-7 thousand. I room admission through wbjee and there is a process of counselling conducted through which admission is done .

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Okay college and decent placement

I choose this college due to affordable fees and the hostel facility near. But I think my desicion was wrong as it is not good engineering college as compared to the other colleges from noida ,ghaziabad and rest cities of India .This is because of followiong parameters that are good in those colleges.1.NO Regular cultural and technical fest. 2.Not any extra co cirricular activities such as dandiya, festive special programs and the main freshers part. 3. There is no farewell given to final year students by the college. 4. No convacation held. 3. No hightech infrastructure and AC classrooms.
