Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I am very fascinated by software. Our college has a good faculty: student ratio but not as good as top IITs colleges. All the faculty members are well qualified and their teaching methods are also good. We have two exams in a semester first mid-semester exam and the second end-semester exam. These are not at all difficult to pass but it all depends on your preparation.

Internships Opportunities

Some of the companies and the role offered under internships are 1. OCAC : network Consultant 2. OURIIP: Project Assistant Projects are: 1. Developing a machine translation system for Indian languages, and many more You find it in the officlal page.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester you are eligible for placements. Many companies visit our collage every year previous year highest package is 39LPA , average package is between 10-13 LPA . My plan for now is getting placed in a good company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees of 4 years for 2023-2027 batch is Rs 977500. You will get scholarship through various govermental program. You also get financial assistance(loan) very easily from the bank. You will get jobs of average package about 10 - 13 lacks in this collage.

Campus Life

Life at the campus of IIIT Bhubaneswar is a blend of academic rigor and cultural diversity.Annual cultural fest is Advaita and tech fest is D cube . There are a large number of books and journals in library. The classes of IIIT Bhubaneswar are spacious , comfortable and well-furnished.Here you find a lots of club and society in every activity.You find details of all society present in our collage.

Hostel Facilities

You are given 1 bed, table ,chair , fan and almirah . Mess food is not so good.Hostel is very affordable you have to pay only 9000 rs for a semester for 3 seater room. It is about 10km away from main town.

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Admission

You have to qualify JEE Mains exam with a good rank to get the CSE branch in this collage. You have to maintain at least 75% in your 12th board examination.You will find all details regarding the fee structure and other information on the collage website. You donot need to give any saperate test forr this collage. You need to apply through JOSAA or CSAB portal for this collage. Here you do not get any reservation benefits in the fee structure, but you get some rank benefits according to your catagory. No,I do not want to see any improvement in the admisssion process because it is already very clear and easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Likes

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

IIITB is best!

JEE Counselling makes us get admission here as those who miss out on IIT then if they have top ranks but missed out on IIT can get admission here. So my rank was around 5000 and I was getting admission in many IIITs but I chose Bhubaneswar as academically it is ranked in top IIITs....Read More

IIIT Bhubaneswar means technology!

I gave JEE to get selected for IITs but that couldn't happen and therefore IIITs were my second option. Collage Review of IIIT

This was the best collage that I was getting based on my JEE rank . I was also getting lower NITs like NIT shrinage , goa etc . But my father denied and he thought that a better branch will give a better palacement at the end of the 4 years .I also got into BITs pilani Electrical Engineering , but I have to put down that idea because of the high fee at the BITs . so this was the last option .
