Likes

I liked the atmosphere of the university and how the old infrastructure is still maintained
I like the amazing faculty that UBS has and the library is just amazing
There are always some activities going on in the university which is amazing and brings alot of enjoyment

Dislikes

I disliked the furniture there and the old buildings
There are alot of monkeys there so sometimes it becomes scary for the person who are afraid of them
There is very poor network in the university which becomes hassle because we have to do everything online

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because i want to learn about the international exports and imports that lead to success of multiple organisations. The ratio of girls and boys is around 60:40. All the faculty members have done there PHD. The exams are at moderate level

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are various internship opportunity at the college like sales, finance, marketing and HR. Which creates diversity for the companies that come for tha summer internship drives and there are various projects that have been done by the students

Placement Experience

The students become eligible for placements in semester three after their summer internship. There are various companies that come to the college and they offer various packages to various students from various streams. There are sometimes criteria of 70% in 1st year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike was not that much but our college provides multiple scolarships that is associated with government schemes and help who need financial help, which help multiple students to get help in studying

Campus Life

There were many fest that happens at various festivals in which all the students participate. All the books are available at college library for which college takes fee. Amenities that are available in class are projectors and all the basic needs. There are multiple sports activities that happend on university level in which students take part.

Admission

The eligibility of the course was graduation and we have to prep for quants, Logical reasoning and engiish and the application form was of CAT and the date of applying is arround November and the fees was arround 3k

Interview Experience

There was GD round in which they ask questions related to current affairs and the criteria for admission is 50% CAT result and 25% Graduation and 25% is GDPI, i preped for them at my institute which is in Chandigarh

Thapar the unique approach to MBA

Placement Experience:

students are eliglible for placements when they pass previous backlogs and have 75% attendance. almost 50+ companies showed up mostly taking resume and not conducting any interviews. avg. package: 6L almost 70% students got placed mostly in sales.

Placement Experience:

The placement were so bad I mean the company came but they only took sales people rather than coming the finance profile or the operation profile so minimum package was 2 lakh doing mba getting low is quite not good

A Valuable Learning Curve with Real-World Exposure

Placement Experience:

Placement in the college are decent. Mostly students got placed for sales and marketing role. There are very few companies who came for Finance ,HR and Operations and other specializatins. So mostly at the end other specialix=zation students end up with getting a job role in slaes or marketing only.

Generally the placement drives starts during semester 3. Few name of the companies which visits campus Is Deloitte, American Express, Oxane Partners, Nestle & L'oreal etc. Highest package is 24.81 LPA & Average package is 8.17 LPA.

A genuine review by a genuine person whom you can relied upon.

A person needs to take the CAT entrance test and have graduated in any stream with a minimum of 50% for the general category and 45% for other categories. As there is no such cutoff for CAT. The admission process was simple firstly gdpi happened and then a personal interview. Best ROI

It takes admissions through CAT examination and GD+PI round.Applications starts from December and we have to provide documentation through mail, various types of reservations are their for eg ex-servicemen, rural area , single girl child etc which one can view on prospectus available online. The weightage of CAT percentile is more ,but students should also focus on Gd/pi because it really plays part in admission process,so after gd/pi students are assigned ranks and admission takes place accordingly.
