The college provides 2 times intership which helps in getting placed in jobs.
The campus life is amazing in IGIT as it's full of greenary & nice infrastructure.
College provides loan for study which helps in getting into the branch you want .

Dislikes

As it is situated near the industrial area, it is always full of dust.
In summer season it's very hard to attend classes though the college provides morning classes

Course Curriculum Overview

All the courses regarding engineering are available here. I chose Civil engineering because it gives a lot of opportunities in various engineering field as well as government sectors. Faculties are mostly done Phds' in colleges like IITs & MIT. You can get atleast one and half months of time for term exams or even semester exams.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Internships Opportunities

College provides two times intership offers i.e once in 2nd year & another in 3rd year , sometimes paid-internship also. Students usually like to do intership in Nalco , Jindal , Hal , Bhel , JSW , RSP , TCS etc

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placements after completion of 6th semester. Companies like TCS , Wipro , Infosys, Adani , Nalco , Jindal , L&T , Collins aerospace etc visit here & hire students. The highest package acquired by interns are upto 13lpa & average is approximately 4.5lpa. Almost 70% students get placed every year from this Institution.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees in IGIT is slightly different for different branches. For core branches like Electrical , Mechanical , Civil, Chemical , Metallurgy & production engineering, it's only 30000 whereas for non-core branches like C.sc & ECE it can extend upto 70000. This college provides scholarship like E- medhabrutti , Kalia, Post-matric scholarship etc. If you find hard to pay the college fees you can get a loan approved from the bank situated inside the college campus.

Campus Life

Campus life at IGIT is very enjoyable. You can get to attend nice fests every single month . Fests like Anweshan , Horizon , Aarohan ,Vistaar , Admintium etc will make you feel worth it about the college. The infrastructure & greenary of the campus will make your 4 years Joyable. Apart from academic curriculum, it also provides several sports meetings & activities Groups & clubs like Anonymous , Drishya360 , cricket-club , IiSC are run by the students.

Admission

The process of admission to get into IGIT is same as other engineering colleges i.e through JEE Mains entrance exam. Application form for JEE will be available in the website of NTA which conducts all these exams. The benifits of reservation is only for students belonging to catagory of ST , SC & TFW.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

Electrical engineering is a very respected branch in our college as many industries are built near this area which take students from campus selections.
