Advanced lab equipment and softwares were available
Campus was huge with well qualified teachers

Course Curriculum Overview

The course consisted of various subjects of Computer Science like programming, web development, Android programming etc. It was taught by the Professors who were well versed with the subjects that they were teaching. Subjects were taught both in classroom setting as well as in the lab. There were two unit exams and one term exam in each semester.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For each semester fees was Rs. 20000. It remained like that throughout the course. However, there was no financial assistant available. Also, at the end of the course there was no campus jobs available as well.

Campus Life

Life at campus was great. The labs were equipped with latest spec computers. Buildings were beautifully designed. Library had all sorts of books available. Each student could take two books at a time. There were sports events held throughout the year.

Admission

There was an entrance examination in the beginning for those who had passed Higher Secondary. The application form was available on the official website. Those who were selected were called for counselling while as those who could not qualify were put in the waiting list. If anyone from the selection list opted out those in the waiting list got the chance to come for counselling.

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

From the starting of 4th year ,we are eligible to sit in the placement and the ratio is almost 65-70 percent percentage head and for it and cse - increff, microsoft ,make my trip ,paypal ,and visa and for civil - L&T and many sales company

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

The form for MSc. The programme submitted around march and exam held in July month and session starts from August. First, I was very upset because I got admitted in this university and the amount I had paid is a little bit higher than other well-known universities, but later I realised that this was the best decision I had taken.
