- Not a fully residential Programme- Had the program been a fully residential the exposure would have been much better.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose PGDM because i wanted a holistic experience of the program. We are offered a lot of majors in 2 years. Student can also opt for double majors. Student to faculty ratio stands around 1:20. Almost all the faculty have a phd with them. The quality of teaching is pretty good. The college is keeping pace with new trends by introducing compulsory analytics courses in the first year. Teaching is mainly through case based where real life situations are analyzied. It is a trisemester so every 1.5 months we have our exams. The level of difficulty is moderate. The exam test application of the concepts taught.
Internships Opportunities
D.E Shaw, Arcesium, Berger Paints, Piramal Group, Adani Green and many more. Roles of financial analyst, product manager, management trainee, portfolio management, business consultant , HR consultant and many more
Placement Experience
From 4th trimester onwards students are eligible for final placements. more than 70 companies visit the campus and approximated 300+ offers are made. Highest package stood at 50LPA . Average package stood around 17 LPA. 100% students are getting placed. I plan to work in finance roles specifically in wealth management roles.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees stands around 20 lakh excluding hostel fees. Making it pretty expensive. 5% of the students are given merit cum means scholarship where 18lakh of fees is waived off. Plus merits scholarship is available for 1st year where 1st, 2nd and 3rd position are awarded with 1lakh, 75k and 50k Respectively
Campus Life
Anual fest is Kritva conducted in the Month of Feburary. Library has a lot of books and also has access to bloomberg terminal. Classrooms are smart class rooms, equipped with speakers and projector, the classroom is also fully air conditioned. We have a sports room but the campus is too small for any kind of outdoor sports. there are lot of clubs, committee and society run by students like The finance club, marketing club, Branding and media relations committee, Zariya- The Dramatics Society
Admission
cat cutoff around 90 percentile with decent background, however one may get call at around 85 percentile as well if background is strong. Bachelors is mandatory for taking admission. Application can be found on website of the college. Application fees is around 2000 and applications are open till january end. Admission process consist of extempore and interview. I guess GD could be added to check the overall profile of the candidate.
Interview Experience
my topic of extempore was about stock markets, like how they were linked to economic performance. Rest of the interview revolved around my bacelors degree as well as testing my general awarness and knowledge.
