Remarks

The best thing is that, the college is near to the Pune Railway Station. So, it is very good thing for all students, there is no problem for coming into the college. The all necessary sources are available around the college campus. Overall, the college is best.

Entrance Preview

In this year, i have completed my HSC and also gave CET exam. I got 130 marks in CET exam. So, on the basis of my HSC and CET marks merit, i got this college. I choose mechanical engineering, because i wish to give government exams after BE.

Course Curriculum Overview

Now i am in first year, thats why, i dont know about whole course. But from seniors and collegues, i know that, the course is quite tough but very good and interesting. All practicals are held. i dont know about the research initiatives.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college provides internships. All mechanical sandwitch students got the internship in 3rd year 2nd semester. With this, remaining branches students also got the internship as college TPO is good. Stipend is Rs. 5000/- to 10,000/-.

Placement Experience

Our college having good reputation in industry therefore core companies are visited like TCS, Infosys, Tech mahindra, Tata Motors, Navy, IBM, KPIT, etc. Average package is about Rs. 4 LPM.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This college is in main city. Thats why the fee is expensive. Fee is Rs. 1,12,000/- for one year. For OBC, ot is 65,000/- and for SC, ST, NT, it is Rs. 10,000/-.

Hostel Facilities

College hostel is good one. I am not staying in hostel but hostel and canteen food is good.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no any alumni network for new students but some of fews are interacting with new for betterment. But platform is proper for this.

Faculty

I am in mechanical department. So i know lot of things about mechanical department than other. Our department has total of 30 staff members. All are well graduated and some are PhD holders, like all are awesome and so much caring of students. Teaching way is very nice, as students does not feel that they are doing lectures but the atmosphere of lectures is best one.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. My experience of iiit pune

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.

Admission: I had also applied for top colleges of Pune with tech related branches but the main reason I can't get their is due to high cutoff of colleges I had applied for top colleges like VIT Pune,PCCOE Pune ,PICT Pune ,D.Y.Patil Pune etc and through cap process depending on my percentile I get my current college AISSMS IOIT Pune and I confirmed for these I sorted the colleges depending on some parameter like last year cutoff, placement percentage, autonomous or not etc My college is in Maharashtra so around 80% of seats given to the students who are admitted through Maharashtra state entrance exam for engineering that is MHTCET and remaining 20% are seat are for candidates who admitted through JEE MAIN score so most students peffered MHTCET Exam for admission in our college The overall addmission process is like after declaration of result student make list of colleges and branches those he want to take that list is in a sequential manner then student had to upload that list on portal of MHTCET after 2-3 day result of that list comes and the college which is allocated seen to us then it depend on us that we want to confirm that college and branch or go for next round total 3 rounds are take place in that process and after confirmation of college reporting has been done offline to the college for final addmission process...Read More

Reviewing the journey up till now !!

I gave several exams and cracked them , but due to some or the other factor , I couldn't choose any other college. Due the ongoing CBSE boards, I couldn't register for MHTCET which is apparently a state exam for MAHARASHTRA . You can opt for different colleges in MAHARASHTRA after giving this exam.
