My Experience in Dentistry at Kusum Devi Dental college

I wanted to work at the medical sector and serve the people of my country and that's why I chose BDS course. Each department of our college has 4-6 faculty who give their best to all the 100 students of a particular year. All the faculties are MDS and teaching is through presentation by projectors. All the term exams were held on stipulated time and they were moderately tough to pass and they tested the proper preparations of the students.

One year of mandatory internship is carried out in our College after passing the Final Year successfully. A stipend of ?5000 is given per month to the Interns in our College. Since it is a Dental college, no campusing and jobs are provided by the College.

The fee is pretty affordable. I availed at ?150000 per year through the State government quota while the Management quota is for ?450000 per year. An amount of ?15000 was taken every year for sports. The fee structure has been increased gradually through the years. Various scholarships such as Swami Vivekananda scholarship and Students credit card can be availed easily through our College. I still haven't completed the course as I am in Final year currently.

Annual fest in the name of Ignium is held in our College in the month of December for 2 days. A series of cultural activities are performed in our fest and celebrities are invited. Library is quite well supplied with standard textbooks of all subjects, previous years university examination question papers, as well as current journals on the medical topics. All kinds of sports such as Football, Cricket, Table tennis are held every year with active participation from the students as well as the staff. Currently no social groups or clubs have been formed in our college.

Eligibility through NEET UG (2020) Application form for NEET UG was available from the government website which was filled by me and after the payment of the application fee, I received the Admit Card for the examination which was held at 13th September 2020. After the counseling process, I got a seat at the College from where the admission process started and was fulfilled. I didn't avail any Reservation benefits. Admission fee should be reduced by a little for the economically weaker sections.
