Course Curriculum Overview

Course structure is nice. First year subjects are bit easy than other years. It is hectic since it's a medical course. Exams are tough especially biochemistry is a very difficult subject which requires a lot of understanding.

Placement Experience

Placement from our college is quite good. Most of our seniors work as dentist in various government hospitals, private institutions They are even running private dental clinics. The salary offered to the internee are too low. Internship is must in our course.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fee structure is bit on the higher side ie a bit expensive, I feel. The fees are Rs 200,000 per annum which makes it to Rs 1000000 on s total for a period of four years which is not very economical or affordable.

Campus Life

There are many extracurricular activities in our college. There are labs which are well equipped with tools. There is an annual sports fest which carries cricket matches, batminton, kabbadi, khokho, chess, carom board etc are held in december time.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is good. But it is purely depend on the individual. How well the individual mingled with others. Senior students also helpful. But from college end there is no alumni gathering etc. Overall its good.

Admission

The admission into the college is a two step process: 1. Entrance Test : Eligible candidates need to appear for the Entrance Test conducted by the college. 2. Merit Screening : Admission is based on the marks obtained in Entrance Test and qualifying examination.

Faculty

Good , maximum teacher's have high degrees. They all are very grounded and cooperative to us. They are fully frank with students any time any where they are ready to help the students. our faculty always helps us.

This course comprises of huge syllabus . This curriculum is a great help as it teaches us the introductory part in 1st yr then the pre clinicals in 2 nd yr and gtom 3rd year we start our interaction with the patients. In the final yr er learn the various aspects of clinics. And in internship we start practicing.

The teachers are very supportive and we have practicals and Clinical postings from 3rd year. We are given 10 patients each from 3rd year to treat. I think instead of two exams we must have two small weekly tests so that our memory power can increase.

Life of a mediocre student at KSD Jain Dental College & Hospital

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is a professional course, and there is still demand. There are 9 departments in the college itself and each has 5-8 teachers. Medical subjects are taught by Medical College Kolkata and their respective departments. Majority of the faculty are post graduate and most are more or less adept at what they do. Final exams are conducted by the WBUHS, and they keep changing the timings of the sessions.

I applied to a number of colleges and finally got a seat in guru Nanak dental college. A very reputed college not only in West Bengal but all over India. I didn't avail of any quota facility while entering the college as I belong to the general category. Those who want to apply in the counseling process for getting entry into this college must qualify neet xam and should be 17 years of age or above. It's been almost 10 months I am in this college. The campus is very big with 3 playgrounds. It also has other courses like engineering, pharmacy, and hotel management. It's under the JIS group. It has a canteen facility and also a gym. Basketball court for the entertainment. Well planted trees, grass, and flowers. It has hostels for far-away students. Food quality is also good. Xerox room for additional help.
