Course Curriculum Overview

3

This is a professional course, and there is still demand. There are 9 departments in the college itself and each has 5-8 teachers. Medical subjects are taught by Medical College Kolkata and their respective departments. Majority of the faculty are post graduate and most are more or less adept at what they do. Final exams are conducted by the WBUHS, and they keep changing the timings of the sessions.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

No externships that I am aware of. There is housestaffship but that is rare. College encourages students to work on research papers and participate in seminars in the college itself or outside. Patient flow is moderate considering this is a private dental college, but it is doable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scolarships are recognised and encouraged by the college. The course is quite costly as it is material intensive. Jobs are few and far between, all we have is a compulsory internship with meagre pay, which is still more compared to the rest of the private dental colleges in this state.

Campus Life

1.5

Ignium is name of the annual fest. The library has a wide variety of books. But since the faculty suggests only a few textbooks, they are in short supply. Amenities and facilities are good, toilets are clean, drinking water is abundant, environment inside the college is clean. College conducts sports.

Admission

Aspirants need to achieve sufficient rank in NEET UG along with the various requirements to get into a professional course such as this. NEET UG application form can be found at NTA website. College recognises the reservations imposed by the government, and fees are separate for state quota and management quota seats. The office staff is helpful but slightly clumsy and not punctual, so everything takes time.

In childhood, I had braces which influenced me to be a Dentist. I had a very bad alignment of teeth, I went to an Orthodontist and he made my smile look good and from that day I decided to be a dentist. This curriculum will make a person or the pursuer a dentist at the end of the course. After that, you can prepare for NEET PG or any other courses or Government Job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The patient exposure in this curriculum is highly appreciable. The curriculum prepares us to do the best hand work in every possible manner. It prepares us to deal with the outside world independently. The course needs to be advertised a little bit,the awareness and view of people towards this needs to be improved which can be done by spreading awareness and providing more facilities to existing students in the field. The frequency and timing of exams are quite good as it prepares us for the best.

Most of the students who have good marks in every exam get placed in the best places across the state and country. They get a good handsome salary. My plans after the degree are either doing a master's or applying for various jobs.
