A review on KSD Jain Dental college from a 3rd Year student

Likes

Responsiveness of the administration in critical situation and student safety issues.
Cleanliness of the college, this college campus is so clean, unlike the other medical or dental colleges.

Dislikes

The campus, lack of trees, gets so hot in summer.
The faculties and their teaching is good but quite unreliable and unpredictable, like after studying hard and giving your all potential in the exam, still you can't be sure if you gonna get promoted to next year or not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In childhood, I had braces which influenced me to be a Dentist. I had a very bad alignment of teeth, I went to an Orthodontist and he made my smile look good and from that day I decided to be a dentist. This curriculum will make a person or the pursuer a dentist at the end of the course. After that, you can prepare for NEET PG or any other courses or Government Job.

I liked the faculty members being student friendly
Fest is best thing in our college which almost every student like

Dislikes

Every year we are paying 15000 rupees for sports and not even a single sports events are there for girls
Didn't liked the hostel food as its very oily and not tasty

Course Curriculum Overview:

All the faculty are MDS qualified and Student friendly. All the faculty members teach both clinical as well as theory subjects very well . MCQ tests are taken after almost end of every chapter and if not then a major test is being taken of all the chater which have been covered of which comprises of 3-4 chapters covered . Also theory class tests are also taken .

Life of a mediocre student at KSD Jain Dental College & Hospital

Likes

Cleanliness and facilities, the will of the principal to make the college a better place
Regular faculty reviews and channels for feedback

Dislikes

It is easy to be discouraged by the lifeless atmosphere in spite of all that is going on
Terrible location, very dusty, very dirty, very unhealthy

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is a professional course, and there is still demand. There are 9 departments in the college itself and each has 5-8 teachers. Medical subjects are taught by Medical College Kolkata and their respective departments. Majority of the faculty are post graduate and most are more or less adept at what they do. Final exams are conducted by the WBUHS, and they keep changing the timings of the sessions.

The college campus is good, greenery campus.
College management is also helpful,always talk to students.

Dislikes

It is complete veg campus, non veg food is not allowed inside the campus.
It is a new campus so many more infrastructure need to be updated.

This bds course is 5 years course, which includes 4 years of study and 1 year internship. The faculty student ratio is 1:20.Mostly all the faculties are holds MDS degree. There is a yearly university exam and internal exam through the year.

My Experience in Dentistry at Kusum Devi Dental college

Likes

Proper availability of facilities in the Clinics.
Regularity in teaching and Clinical works are strictly followed.

Dislikes

There is shortage of faculty in almost every department.
Too much pressure is given on maintaining Attendance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to work at the medical sector and serve the people of my country and that's why I chose BDS course. Each department of our college has 4-6 faculty who give their best to all the 100 students of a particular year. All the faculties are MDS and teaching is through presentation by projectors. All the term exams were held on stipulated time and they were moderately tough to pass and they tested the proper preparations of the students.

KSD jain Dental college - an excellent place for your oral health

Likes

Campus is a friendly environment, seniors are very much helpful
Faculties are extremely supportive and teaches with clinical examples

Dislikes

Stipend of internship is less than other colleges
It should have a big playground for football and cricket

Course Curriculum Overview:

BDS is a undergraduate 5years( 4years study+ 1 year internship) course. Ksd Jain dental college & hospital provide a healthy environment for study with no ragging in campus. There are 9 departments, library, sterilization unit, auditorium(synapse). Each department has 5-6 number of faculties. Teachers are always helpful be it in class or clinics. From 3rd year onwards students are allowed to do patient work. There is a good patient flow in the college. We have 2 internal, numerous class test and 1 professional exam in each & every year. The exams are conducted timely by the west Bengal University of health sciences.

The Review of KSD JAIN DENTAL COLLEGE and Hospital.

Likes

The infrastructure of college and the campus is quiet compact.
The food served here is purely veg and hygenic . The staffs are very polite.

Dislikes

It is situated in quiet a odd distance area inside the city.

Placement Experience:

After completion of the internship finished by the end of five years from the admission the students starts getting placement after being the housestaff in certain private and government hospital or chamber . The percentage of students getting placement is quiet moderate as it is based on the marks of every semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum and the faculty members both are quite good. I choose this course because I want to be a doctor from the very beginning. There are so many faculties for each department as well as the year of studies. All the facilities are well educated and their teaching method is also good. I am in 1st year of my college and didn't appear for any exam yet so it's difficult for me to tell you about the examination process.
