Xavier's have proved its excellence everytime till date. Right from academics to other fields we are having everything arranged well

Entrance Preview

We had an entrance test for our college as there were only few seats so there was a lot of competition. Fortunately, I got a seat in B.Com after counselling cum interview session.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum has been set too deliberately. The students find it very easy to figure out. As far as practical learning is concerned we do get some exposure to real time problems

Internships Opportunities

Internships are mostly not provided from our college side still we manage few from outside. Last time I did one internship with a stipend of 5000/- for 2 months.

Placement Experience

There are pretty much placement opportunities here. Last time among our seniors around 70% got placed in many private sector companies

Events remain on peak. Each month atleast 2 are conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is affordable. Approximately we pay 50k for our tuition fee. In addition to the fee mentioned we do pay some extra for our hostels too that is around 45k

Scholarships are provided on the basis of marks.Also the students who show good performance in sports and games

Campus Life

Extra curricular activities like Talent Hunt, Treasure hunt are conducted to get students involved here

Hostels are good. We have 3 sharing per room and 2 sharing is also there on extra charge

Seniors from this college have visited us many a times for seminars and lucid interaction sessions

Exams are like brain teasers. We are having bunch of internals and few practicals every semester

The faculty members are very well. Most of them have served in renowned institutions before. Telling about their qualifications, many of those who taugh us till now had doctorates in their subjects

I choose Bcom because I have interest in the accounting sector , it helps me in the real life , currently I am working in the accounting sector . The course curriculum of guru nanak College dhanbad is quite good and revelant as per the university pattern .it covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps in understanding the subject deeply .the syallabus is updated time to time according to latest trends, which makes it useful for higher studies and competitive exam also. The subject are arranged in a proper way semester wise so students don't feel much pressure .exam are held regularly,mostly at the end of each semester and internal tests are also taken for practice.the difficult level of exams is moderate,not very hard if you study regularly

Placement Experience:

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

A Modest College Life , Learning & Limitations

Placement Experience:

This College provides campus placement, but only a few companies come, only 2 or 3. From the 5th or 6th semester, students are eligible for the campus placement. The average package of my college is 3.57 LPA & the highest is 7 LPA. My plan is to appear for banking after completion of my degree.

College life

Remarks:

This college is near to my home and have good reputation in commerce. Its a renowned college for commerce. The fees is also very less here. The maximum fees here is 2000 yearly. There is no need for entrance exam here if you want to join UG or PG. But you have to give entrance for vocational courses. For entrance you should have just scored 60-70% in your previous board exam. This is the most driving factor to take admission here.

I had applied for the Doctor Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University Ranchi. And i got selected there also but i found st xavier's college ranchi is better then that college as this is autonomous applied new education policy of fourth year graduation. I didn't get rejection as i had filled only this two college in ranchi for bachelor's degree.
