IIFT- The legacy from 1963

The curriculum at IIFT is very comprehensive. I chose this course as it has a specialization in International Business which gives an opportunity to get international exposure in this age of specialization. The majority of the Faculties here are extremely knowledgeable and Talented in their domain. All of them are Ph.D. Many of them also work at the Ministry of Trade and Commerce. End-term exams are Pen paper based 40 marks. ^0 marks weightage for internals

The Internship stats at IIFT are also very good. Students get average stipends of 2.64 lakhs. The highest stipendvis 4.40 lakhs, and the median stipend is 2.50 lakhs. Top companies in different domains participate, with 36 new recruiters joining the list. Sales & Marketing 33% offers, with roles in digital marketing, business development, and market research. Finance at 20%, with roles in investment banking, corporate treasury, and FinTech. General Management & Strategy with 13% offers, Consulting secures 11% with top firms like BCG, McKinsey, and Deloitte. Trade & Operations and IT/Analytics each have 8% of the offers. Placements at IIFT are excellent. Placements start from the first trimester. IIFT has 100% placement record. Around 100+ companies visit the campus and 250+ offers are made. 40% of the batch get PPO ie. Pre placement offers The highest package In final placements is 85.4 lakhs, the highest domestic CTC is 76.5 lakhs. The average CTC is 29.1 lakhs which is a remarkable increase YoY. and the median CTC is 26.5 lakhs. The top 25% of the batch gets average CTC of 46.5 lakhs. A total of 108 recruits are placed, including over 17 international positions. 22% in sales and marketing, 20% in consulting, 18% in finance, 13% in general management, 10% in product management, 9% in trade and operations, and 8% in IT analytics.

The fees for 2 years is 21.77 Lakhs and is subject to revision every year. The fees include Tuition fees, accommodation and Food. Scholarship is also available for the students. SC/ST students get 50% fees waiver. Other category students have to fill for scholarship from NSP portal. Other private scholarships are also available eh OPJEMS. ROI is more than 100% as the fees is 22L and Avg Package is 29L

IIFT has a vibrant campus life. There are many fests ,events and festival celebration. Festivals like Holi, Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri (Garba Night) are celebrated on campus. Also there are 3 major events. Tradewinds is a business conclave. Quovadis is a cultural megafest and Adrenalin is a mega sports fest. Apart from this there are 18 club cell committees.

IIFT has different hostels for first-year and second-year students. Girls stay at NH (New Hostel) Block with twin sharing room. First-year Boys stay at the C9 hostel. It is 800m far from the campus.C9 hostel also has twin sharing rooms. Second-year boys stay in the old hostel inside the campus. They have triple sharing rooms. The quality of food is good and there are multiple facilities like washing machines, rooms for yoga and games, heaters and coolers available for the use of students.

This year from 2024, IIFT is going to Accept CAT scores for admission to MBA programs at Delhi and Kolkata campuses. 1) Application Process and Cut-off: Students need to apply online from IIFT website. On the basis of CAT scores, candidates will be shortlisted for Round 2 of admission. GD/WAT/PI/Extempore. Candidates with 3 or more years of graduation and 50%+ marks in graduation are eligible to apply. The application fee is Rs 3000 for General/EWS/OBC candidates and 1500 Rs for SC/ST candidates. Reservation is available of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD as per government rules

After the form is filled out, the shortlist is published on the IIFT website. The shortlisted candidates are required to fill the CV form and upload documents for verification. In the interview process, there is an extempore process conducted. There are 3 panelists in the interview and the average duration of the interview is 30-35 mins.
