Remarks

This college isn't good gor people who want to have more inclination towards extra curricular activities. More for people who want school like atmosphere where someone is constantly behind you, nagging to study.

Entrance Preview

Landed here through cap rounds of mhcet. I scored a decent score of 94 and got a seat here secured itself in cap round 2. But there are offline seats available too. The good thing about this branch is that no donations are taken from students who apply for offline forms.

Course Curriculum Overview

Selected production engineering. Much focus is being given on practical learning with professors emphasizing on skills more than rote learning.

Internships Opportunities

Almost all of the students get internships on well known mnc and companies like l&t, TCS, Mercedes-Benz, godrej, etc. There they get lots of information on their field and is highly beneficial for them.

Placement Experience

Decent pay scale is offered. Almost 70 percent of the students get placed on well known mnc and companies like l&t, TCS, Mercedes-Benz, godrej, etc. package was around 4 to 5 lpa for starters.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's affordable as per the standard mu norms. There are separate fee structures for sc candidates, St candidates and obc candidates. There is also a tuition fee waiver scheme for poor but bright students.

Hostel Facilities

I don't live in a hostel so no idea.

Exam Structure

The exams do make us feel tired. As per the mu curriculum there are tonnes of assignments and journals to complete along with separate time to be dedicated to tutorials thus leaving very less time for self study.

All faculty we recieved were well qualified faculty with strong skills of conveying information in simple terms and were really good in their concepts too.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

The moderate college of engineering in pune , with moderate fees and good environment.

Placement Experience:

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. College do offers insdustry obesrvation and siteseeing tours. These activities are for core branch students. the companies visited in college are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, for IT sector and core branches companies like BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT, TATA TECHNOLOGIES , do visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was placed by a student of 45 lakhs in 2022 and another student of 22 lakhs. the percentage of placement for 2024 batch was about 70% to 72% for overall placement record. after getting degree i will persue the job in pune and stay updated on ladakh civil job vacancies.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

1. i also applied to KJ Somaiya in vidyavihar and RAIT in navi mumbai and VIT vellore. i did not choose these colleges for the following reason: expensive fees and no affiliation with mumbai university, expensive and not well regarded, large batches in each class so issues in placements, 2. i did not get rejections from any college i applied to. 3. admission to my college can be done through CAP rounds or institute rounds. the eligibility depends on your mh-cet score. only mh-cet is accpeted and jee. but only mh-cet is given importance. there is also a 51% quota for chrisitian minority students...Read More

I was getting VJTI Mech and Civil but i wanted CSE or IT branch. I also got IT in DJ Sangvi and SPIT cllg but as i stay in Mulund-Thane area it is very far from me and travelling alone took 4 hrs of the day. After all these odds this cllg was best for me as it takes only 1.5 hrs of daily travel for me. Time is money u will realize this during ur engg. Cllg only accepts CET and JEE MAINS scores. If u want to get a CS branch in this cllg ur CET score must be around 96.8%ile or around 7000 rank in cet and in JEE MAINS ur percentile must be above 94%ile or 95%ile...Read More

You can get in fr crce either through jee or mht-cet. But you need to have Maharashtra state domicile if you are looking forward to take admission via mht cet. As the college is Christian minority college 51% of seats are reserved for Christian students. The cutoff vary with branch.
