Remarks

It is good for local punjab students. Placement wise one should opt for computer engineering.

Entrance Preview

You easily get admission in electrical and information technology. You have to enroll yourself in ptu counselling. By the score of IITjee. But if you good marks in 12th you get seat through manual counselling. Because many seats are still vacant after 3 round of online counselling. There is punjab resident quata also. In short don't worry about admission. You will easily get it but do visit campus fir the admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course provided are btech IT, CSE, EE, ECE, mechanical and civil. MCA and MBA. First year ia common for all the branches it comprises of maths chemistry physics Engineering drawing c++ are major subjects. From second year one start learning the core subjects. Related to his branch.

Placement Experience

There is 100% placement for IT and CSE because wipro usually provide jobs students above 65%. Other then wipro. Local IT company takes all other students. Krilosker and shapoorji were the only companies visited campus in year 2015. Deserving students could score a job in off campus drives by SAP, Hitachi, tcs. Venue of these off campus drives are cgs landra, chitkara n our campus

College Events

College is very active in cultural festival. Which happens annually by PTU. Technical festivals are not up to the mark they are only for name sake. College has chess, cricket, tennis, badminton actually all the sports one can think. College provides special coach for every sport.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is around 70000 to 80000 per year. Which is taken per semester. You can talk to the administration for late submission or instalments.

There is a scheme for backward students with good score. There is no other scholarships for sports players Or for extra ordinary performance they need their full fee

There is no such scope. Campus life is dull. This college is more like school area wise its very very small. There 2 canteen one is small and another is smaller. Quality of food is not so good. IT is full of girls and mechanical is full of boys. But there is no such politics or discrimination it is peace loving college. No college trips or hostel party.

Hostel Facilities

Girl hostel is like jail as girls could not step out of the college in college hours or in the evening. You need application for any outdoor activities. There is only 2.5 hours of outing allowed in 2 weeks on Saturday.For boys you can do anything thing yo

Its is ragging free college. All punjabi are very friendly. Crowd is good. No fights and chaos among students. There is less interaction among students of different branches and year because there is only one 1 hr break in 9 to 4 college hours.

Exam Structure

There are 3 mid semester test. 1 final exam conducted by ptu. Mid semester tests are conducted to evaluate 40 marks internal exam. And 60 marks external exam.

Faculty is good and supportive. But some temporary teachers are not up to the mark due lack of experience. Otherwise permanent teachers are really good.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Affordable and Worth it !

I have chosen this college because it is near my house and have a good placement record. The college provides stable jobs in the placements. I have even applied for lpu, Dav University but this college is worth it. Dav University doesnt offer that much placements and LPU is very overrated. The admission process is very easy here. Students have to just score more than 80 percent for cse core btech or must be appeared in jee mains examination. Admission doesnt take that much time. Its very simple.
