I was interested in Asansol Engineering College from the very beginning and therefore I took admission in the Year 2018. I got admission via my wbjee rank and I did not apply for any quota. The admission criteria is that the candidate must pass 12th from a recognized board with English, physics chemistry and maths as mandatory subjects. The minimum qualifying mark for 12th is 45%. The candidate should also have a decent rank in the entrance exam. Candidates should age between 17 and 23 years of age.On the day of councelling, students were called based on their entrance exam rank and there were supposed to give their branch and college according to their priorities. I got the college as a general candidate. There are no age barriers as such. The minimum marks depend on the difficulty level of the exam. The counseling took place online due to covid. The online counseling was quite flexible and there were customer care executives who would help in case of any difficulty. First, you attend wbjee exam or jee main exam. In this college follow both exams for admission. But 80% of seats reserved for wbjee exam and only 20% seats admission by jee the main exam.
