Review of my college

Actually my cet percentile is low so I don't get any other colleges by the cap round but by magnagmet seat I can get the addmission in kj Somaiya college of engineering but they are asking for donation which is soo much . The cutoff is very less for this college , and paper checking is very high they want the perfect answer for each question asked. The location of the college is at a very environment-friendly place, the scenery around gives peace of mind. Travelling to the college is comparatively much easier as compared to general Mumbai rush hours as we get to travel downside and avoid the rush. The Admission process is CAT for most of the seats and offline admission for some of the seats as well which is carried out within the Mumbai University Schedule. You can say this college is placed at a remote location as there's very less movement of people around there and the majority of the students and the staff travel here through Local Trains. The teaching and the non-teaching staff are helpful and the campus is decent but can be improved a lot more. The Courses offered in Engineering especially Mechanical and Civil have good strength and activities carried out, IT and Computer as well, other Departments are still very behind in that aspect. Management was very good. The staff was very good and supportive. Even I love the management of the college but somehow in terms of money and poor higher authority orders, our college was a bit behind as compared to another college. But must say whatever it is. Good for studies, not good on infrastructure, some facilities missing, nothing close to the college like hospital, shopping malls, movie theatre, food court, companies, shops, stationery, courier facility, etc....Read More

Teaching was ok, strictness was a tad bit extra. They won't even let you sit in the library during the College hours. Telling you to go and attend the lectures when you tried to complete your assignments or do self study. The watchmen won't let you leave after the College hours were over and there was a festival. You have to attend the festival regardless of weather you want to or not....Read More

Overall if i have to rate our college then comparing to other colleges nearby, our college is better. Our college aims for betterment of student and staff are relatively more friendly than teaching staff of other colleges. Only drawback is that accommodation for transport are very few. Trains are the only option for students theres a gap of almost an for for each train arrival...Read More
